I. 聖城荒涼(1:1-22):
(I) 哀嘆錫安(1:1-11):

1 從前人煙稠密城 How deserted lies the city,
何以荒涼至如此! once so full of people!
從前在列國稱雄 How like a widow is she,
何以沉淪如寡婦! who once was great among the nations!
從前各省中稱后, She who was queen among the provinces
何以竟淪為奴隸! has now become slave.
2 她黑夜痛哭淚流滿面, Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks.
恩容之中無一安慰她. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her.
友朋紛背叛都成敵人. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
3 受盡災禍勞役苦折磨, After affliction and harsh labor,
猶大淪為擄民遭放逐. Judah has gone into exile.
居住列國間不得安息, She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place.
在困境中她被追趕上. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
4 上錫安之路哀傷, The road to Zion mourn,
因無人前來守節. for no one comes to her appointed feasts.
所有城門都荒廢, All her gateways are desolate,
祭司呻吟處女憂. her priests groan, her maidens grieve,
她也深陷痛苦中. and she is in bitter anguish.
5 仇敵成了她主人, Her foes have become her masters;
敵人安逸又享福. her enemies are at ease.
因她犯了許多罪, The Lord has brough her grief
耶和華使她受苦. because of her many sins.
她的兒孫被放逐, Her children hve gone into exile,
仇敵面前被俘虜. captive before the foe.
6 錫安的榮光全都消失, All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion.
首領如找不到草場鹿; Her princes are like deer that find no pasture;
逐鹿者面前無力奔逃. in weakness they have fled before the pursuer.
7 在她困苦和流浪的日子, In the days of her affliction and wandering
耶路撒冷想起昔日珍寶. Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in the days of old.
當百姓落入敵手無人助, When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one who help her.
仇敵傲視並譏笑她毀滅. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.
8 耶路撒冷罪惡深重不潔, Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean.
所有尊崇她的都鄙視她. All who honored her despise her,
全都看到她的赤身裸體, they have seen her nakedness;
她只好自己呻吟把路跑. she herself groans and turnd away.
9 她的污穢滿衣裙, Her filthiness cling to her skirt,
無顏思想未來事. she did not consider her future.
她的傾亡舉世驚, Her fall was astounding;
無人出來安慰她. there was none to comfort her.
"耶和華啊! 看看我的苦難, "Look, O Lord, on my affliction,
因仇敵已勝過我." for the enemy has truiumphed."
10 敵人伸手掠奪她所有財寶, The enemy hands on all her treasures;
她目睹外族闖入她的聖所, she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary -
和你曾禁他們進入的會中. those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.
11 她的百姓為尋覓食物呻吟, All her people groan as they search for bread;
忍痛用他們的財寶換食物, they barter their treasures for food
以求保全他們卑微的生命. to keep themselves alive.
"耶和華啊! 求你垂察, 我被藐視." "Look, O Lord, and consider, for I am despised."
(II) 耶京自哀(1:12-17):
12 "所有過路的人啊! "Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by?
四面看看, 難道無動於衷嗎? Look around and see.
有甚麼苦難像我現受的苦難, Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me,
那是耶和華烈怒日降我苦難? that the Lord brought on me in the day of his fierce anger?
13 "衪從高天降烈火, "From on high he sent fire,
直燒入我的骨肉. sent it down into my bones.
衪在我腳下撒網逼退我, He spread a net for my feet and turned me back.
使我孤獨悽涼終日昏沉. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
14 "我的罪惡很深重, "My sins have been bound into a yoke;
祂一手編織成軛, by his hands they were woven together.
套在我的頸項上, They have come upon my neck
並使我精力耗竭. and the Lord has sapped my strength.
交在我強敵手中. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.
15 耶和華逐出我的戰士, The Lord has rejected all warriors in my midst;
召集精銳大軍攻擊我, he has summoned an army against me
擊潰我所統御的青壯. to crush my young men.
耶和華踐踏猶大兒女, In his wine press the Lord has trampled
像踐踏搾酒池中葡萄. The Virgin Dughters of Judah.
16 "我因之號啕大哭淚滿面, "This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears.
無人就近安慰使我振作. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit.
我的兒女窮困因敵全勝. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed."
17 錫安伸雙手無人安慰, Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her.
耶和華己令雅各四鄰 The Lord has decreed for Jacob
都成為他的致命仇敵; that his neighbors become his foes;
耶路撒冷在他們中成不潔之物. Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
(III) 神的公義(1:18-22):
18 "耶和華正直又公義 "The Lord is righteous,
而我違抗祂的誡命. yet I rebelled against his command.
眾民啊! Listen, all you peoples;
細聽我言看看我的苦難. look upon my suffering.
我的青年少女全都被擄! My young men and maidens have gone into exile.
19 "我呼喚我的盟友全背叛, "I called to my allies but they betrayed me.
我的祭司和長老在覓食 My priests and my elders perished in the city
維生之時全都倒斃城中. while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
20 耶和華啊! 看哪, "See, O Lord,
我多麼痛苦憂傷! how distressed I am!
我內心受盡折磨, I am in torment within,
且心中惶恐不安; and in my heart I am disturbed,
因我最悖逆反叛, for I have been most rebellious.
在外親子喪刀下, Outside, the sword breaves;
在內惟死路一條. inside, there is only death.
21 "人們都聽見我呻吟, "People have heard my groaning,
但無人關心安慰我. but there is no one to comfort me.
仇敵知我身陷災難, All my enemies have heard of my distress;
對你所作心中歡喜. they rejoice at what you have done.
求你宣告的日子早臨, May you bring the day you have announced
他們也會像我－樣慘. so they may become like me.
22 願他們邪惡顯露你面前, "Let all their wickedness come before you;
對付他們像對付我一樣. deal with them as you have dealt with me
因我的罪孽深重無可恕, because of all my sins.
我不住呻吟哀哭心衰竭." My groans are many and my heart is faint."
II. 神發烈怒(2:1-22):
(I) 神懲聖城(2:1-21):
1 耶和華竟以怒雲 How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion
遮蓋錫安的居民! with the cloud of his anger!
衪把以色列的榮耀 He has hurled down the splendor of Isreal
從天上甩落在地上; from heaven to earth;
在衪發怒的日子裏, he has not remembered his footstool
竟忘了自己的腳凳! in the days of his anger.
2 主毫不憐恤吞滅雅各居所, Without pity the Lord has swllowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; 烈怒中拆毀猶大堅固城堡.in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah.
使王國君臣倒地蒙受羞辱. He has brought her kingdom & its princes down to ground in dishonor.
3 祂在烈怒中砍斷以色列的角, In fierce nger he has cut off every horn of Isreal.
在敵人進攻時收回衪的右手; He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy.
像燒滅四周一切的無情烈焰, He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire
衪更把雅各焚燒得一乾二淨. that consumes everything around it.
4 衪像敵人拉弓右手也準備好, Like enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready.
又好像仇敵殺滅悅人眼目者; Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye;
祂向錫安居民帳棚傾倒烈怒.he has poured out his wrath like fire on tent of the Daughter of Zuon.
5 主像仇敵吞滅雅各, 一 The Lord is like enemy; he has swallowed up Isreal.
吞其美地毀其堅城, He has swallowed up all her places and destroyed her strongholds.
加重猶大居民哀傷. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Dughter of Judah.
6 祂使自己居所如荒園, He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden;
而且毀棄自己聚會所. he has destroyed his place of meeting.
並使錫安的居民忘了 The Lord has made Zion forget
重要的節期和安息日. her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths.
烈怒中棄絕君王祭司. in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.
7 主丟棄己壇放棄聖所, The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary.
把己殿城牆交給仇敵; He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces;
他們在耶和華殿呼喊, they have raised a shout in the house of the Lord
有如慶祝重要的節日. as on the day of an appointed feast.
8 耶和華決意要 The Lord determined to tear down
拆毀錫安城牆, the wall around the Daughter of Zion.
衪把量尺拉出, He stretched out a measuring line
不縮回毀滅手. and did not withhold his hand from destroying.
衪使城廓哀號, He made remparts and walls lament;
同時崩塌毀滅. together they wasted away.
9 錫安城門倒在地上, Her gates have sunk into the ground;
門閂砍斷全都毀壞. their bars he has broken and destroyed.
君王臣宰流亡列國, Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations,
錫安律法斷然無存, the law is no more ,
先知不再見祂異象. and her prophets no longer find visions from the Lord.
10 錫安長老默然坐地上, The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence;
頭上撒塵土身穿麻衣. they have sprinkled dust on their heads and out on sackcloth.
耶路撒冷少女低垂頭. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.
11 我雙目因哀哭昏花, My eyes fail from weeping,
內心受盡痛苦折磨; I am in torment within,
我的內心傾倒在地, my heart is poured out on the ground
因為我的百姓全毀, because my people are destroyed,
嬰孩昏倒城中大街. because children and infants faint in the streets of the city.
12 他們像受傷昏倒大街的人, They say to their mothers,
在慈母懷中生命漸喪失時, "Where is bread and wine?"
不禁問他們的母親: as they faint like wounded men in the streets of the city,
"餅和酒在那裏呢?" as their lives ebb away in their mother's arms.
13 耶路撒冷居民啊! What can I say for you?
我該怎樣對你說, With what can I compare you,
拿甚麼來跟你比? O Daughter of Jerusalem?
錫安的眾居民啊! To what can I liken you,
我能用甚麼來比, that I may comfort you,
好好來安慰你呢? O Virgin Daughter of Zion?
你的傷深如大海, Your wound is as deep as the sea.
有誰能來醫冶你? Who can heal you?
14 你們先知所見異象都謊謬, The vision of your prophets were false and worthless;
未能顯露你們罪孽免被擄, they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity.
他們所得默示盡虛假誤導. The oracles they gave you were false and misunderstanding.
15 所有過路的都向你們拍手, All who pass your way clap their hands to you;
對耶路撒冷居民嘲笑搖頭: they scoff and shake their heads at the Daughter of Jerusalem:
"這就是人稱最完美 "Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty,
全地最喜愛的城嗎?" the joy of the whole earth?"
16 所有敵人都張口攻擊你, All your enemies open their mouths wide against you,
他們咬牙切齒並嘲笑說: they scoff and gnash their teeth and say,
"我們已把她徹底的吞噬, "We have swallowed her up.
我們盼望的就是這一天, This is the day we have waited for;
而今我們終於親眼看到!" we have lived to see it."
17 耶和華憑已意行事, The Lord has done what he planned;
實踐自己說過的話, he has fulfilled his word,
那是祂早定的主意. which he decreed long ago.
衪毫不憐憫推翻你, He has overthrown you without pity,
讓你的仇敵嘲笑你, he has let the enemy gloat over you,
並高舉你仇敵的角. he has exalted the horn of your foes.
18 錫安居民的城牆啊! The hearts of people cry out to the Lord.
你們的心要真誠向主哀求, O wall of the Daughter of Zion,
眼淚要像江河日夜流不停; let your tears flow like a river day and night;
得不到解救雙目也不得安. give yourself no relief, your eyes no rest.
19 夜間交更時份要起來呼求! Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin;
在耶和華面前要傾心如水. pour out yout heart like water in the presence of the Lord.
為你們的孩子向衪舉雙手, Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children,
這些孩子紛紛餓昏大街頭. who faint from hunger at the head of every street.
20 "耶和華啊! 請看看想想, "Look, O Lord, and consider
你曾這樣殘酷對待過誰? Whom have you ever treated like this?
難道女人都應該去吃 Should woman eat their offsprings,
自己親生養的孩子嗎? the children they have cared for?
祭司先知誅殺在聖所嗎? Should priest and prophets be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?
21 老少一同倒臥大街塵土中, Young and old lie together in the dust of the streets;
我的壯男少女一一倒刀下. my young men and maidens have fallen by the sword.
在你發怒的日子, You have slain them in the day of your anger;
你無情屠殺他們." you have slaughtered them without pity."
(II) 聖城哀禱(2:22):
22 "像招聚人前來歡度節日, "As you summon to a feast day,
你卻招恐怖四圍襲擊我; so you summoned against me terrors on every side.
主怒之日無人脫逃倖存, In the day of the Lord's anger no one escaped or survived;
我所撫育的全被敵殺滅." those I cared for and reared, my enemy has destroyed."
III. 猶大訴怨(3:1-66):
(I) 神的怒杖(3:1-18):
1 我曾在耶和華的 I am the man who has seen affliction
怒杖下受過苦難; by the rod of his wrath.
2 衪驅趕我在黑暗 He has driven me away and made me walk
而不在光中行走; in the darkness rather than light;
3 衪的確日夜不停, Indeed, he has turned his hand against me
轉過手來打擊我. again and again, all day long.
4 衪使我皮肉衰老, He has made my skin and my flesh grow old
且打斷我的骨頭. and has broken my bones.
5 祂以痛苦和艱難 He has besieged me and surrounded me
把我團團圍困住. with bitterness and harship.
6 讓我住在黑暗中, He has made me dwell in darkness
像死了很久的人. like those long dead.
並加鎖鍊重壓我.
7 衪築牆使我不能逃; He has walled me in so I cannot escape;
並且加鎖鍊重壓我. he has weighed me down with chains.
8 縱我高喊哀求賜助, Even when I call out or cry for help,
衪竟關閉我的禱告. he shuts out my prayer.
9 更以大石堵我通道, He has barred my way with blocks of stones;
使我道路曲折崎嶇. he has made my paths crooked.
10 像埋伏的熊, Like a bear lying in wait,
隱藏的獅; like a lion in hiding,
11 把我拖離小徑 he dragged me from the path and mangled me
撕裂無人相救. and let me without help.
12 衪拉衪的大弓 He drew his bow
以我作靶射我. and made me the target for his arrows.
13 祂從箭袋取箭, He pierced my heart
一箭射穿我心. with arrows from his quiver.
14 我成百姓笑柄; I became the the laughingstock of all my people;
整日以歌嘲笑. they mock me in song all day long.
15 祂以苦藥餵我, He has filled me with bitter herbs
苦膽把我塞飽. and sated me with gall.
16 衪以石斷我牙, He has broken my teeth with gravel;
踐踏在塵土中. he has trampled me in the dust.
17 我被剝奪平安, I have been deprived of peace;
忘了福樂為何. I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18 於是我說: "我的榮耀消失, So I say, "My splendor is gone
對主盼望落空." and all that I had hoped from the Lord."
(II) 哀求憐憫(3:19-24):
19 我記得苦難和流浪. I remember my affliction and my wandering,
還有那艱苦和苦膽. the biterness and the gall.
20 我永遠記得忘不了, I will remember them,
使得我的內心沮喪. and my soul is downcast within me.
21 然我心一想到這些, Yet this I call to mind
我就有無限的盼望: and therefore I have hope:
22 主的大愛我們得保全, Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed,
因衪的憐憫永不止息. for his compasssion never fail.
23 你的恩典每晨都新鮮, They are new every morning;
你的信實更廣大無邊. great is your faithfulness.
24 我心裏說: "耶和華是我的福份, I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion;
因此我要靜靜等候衪." therefore I will wait for him."
(III) 仰望救恩(3:25-39):
25 耶和華恩待盼望衪的人, The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
和一心尋求衪的人; to the one who seeks him;
26 安靜等耶和華救恩, It is good to wait quietly
多麼美好! for the salvation of the Lord.
27 人年青就背負重軛, It is good for a man to bear the yoke
同樣美好! while he is young.
28 讓他安靜地獨坐, Let him sit alone in silence,
因是主加給他的. for the Lord has laid it on him.
29 讓他埋首塵土中, Let him bury his face in the dust -
或許還會有希望. there may yet be hope.
30 讓他的臉給人打, Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him,
飽受欺凌和羞辱. and let him be filled with disgrace.
31 因為耶和華恩慈, For men are not cast off
不會永遠拋棄人. by the Lord forever.
32 使人愁苦但憐恤, Though he brings grief, he will show compassion,
且有豐盛無盡愛. so great his unfailing love.
33 衪實在不願降災, For he does not willingly bring affliction
和愁苦給人子孫. or grief to the children of men.
34 把地上所有的囚犯, To crush underfoot
毫不留情踐踏腳下; all prisoners in the land,
35 並在至高者的面前, to deny a man his rights
否定人的基本權利; before the Most High,
36 剝奪人的公平正義, to deprive a man of justice -
難道主都沒看見嗎? would not the Lord see such things?
37 若非耶和華命定, Who can speak and have it happen
誰能說成就成呢? if the Lord has not decreed it?
38 若非至高者口說, Is it not from the mouth of the Most High
禍福豈是隨便來? that both calamities and good things come?
39 世人因罪受懲罰, Why should any living man complain
為何還不平埋怨? when punished for his sins?
(IV) 悔改歸主(3:40-54):
40 讓我們省察考驗自己行為, Let us examine our ways and test them,
趕緊重新回到耶和華那裏. and let us return to the Lord.
41 讓我們誠心向天上神 Let us lift up our hearts and our hands
高舉雙手並且開口說: to God in heaven, and say:
42 "我們不斷犯罪又悖逆, "We have sinned and rebelled
而你耿耿於懷不赦免. and you have not forgotten.
43 你滿懷怒氣追逐我們, You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us;
毫不留情猛追殺我們. you have slain without pity.
44 你又以雲彩遮蓋自己, You have covered yourself with a cloud
使我們禱告無法通達. so that no prayer can get through.
45 你更使我們在列國中, you have mde us scum and refuse
成為無用的渣滓廢物. among the nations.
46 所有我們的大仇敵, All our enemies have opened their mouths
都張大口攻擊我們. wide against us.
47 使得我們飽受恐怖 We have suffered terror and pitfalls,
陷阱荒涼毀滅之苦. ruin and destruction."
48 我的雙目淚流成河, Streams of tears flow from my eyes
因我的子民被毀滅. because my people are destroyed.
49 我的眼淚流個不停, My eyes will flow unceasingly,
一直無法止住停息; without relief,
50 直至耶和華從高天 until the Lord looks down
垂顧明察事實真像. from heaven and sees.
51 因城中婦女的遭遇, What I see brings grief to my soul
我親眼目睹心酸痛. because of all the women of my city.
52 那些無故與我為敵的, Those who were my enemies without cause
把我像小鳥不住獵殺. hunted me like a bird.
53 並要在坑中終結我命, They tried to end my life in a pit
向我不住地丟擲石頭. and threw stones at me;
54 而且用水淹過我的頭, the waters closed over my head,
我心想這次必死無疑. and I thought I was about to be cut off.
(V) 神施拯救(3:55-66):
55 耶和華啊! I called on your name, O Lord,
我從坑的深處呼求你的名. from the depths of the pit.
56 你聽見我懇求: You heard my plead: "Do not close your ears
"勿充耳不聞我求救的呼喊!" to my cry for relief."
57 我呼求時你臨近我說: You came near when I called you,
"不要害怕!" and you said, "Do not fear."
58 耶和華啊! O Lord, you took up my case;
你為我申辯救贖我命. you redeemed my life.
59 耶和華啊! You have seen, O Lord, the wrong done to me.
你知我冤屈為我主持公道! Uphold my case!
60 你已明察他們深切仇恨, You have seen the depth of their vengeance,
以及他們正密謀陷害我. all their plots against me.
61 耶和華啊! O Lord,
你已聽到他們在羞辱我, you have heard their insults,
以及他們正密謀陷害我. all their plots against me -
62 也聽到了我的仇敵終日 what my enemies whisper and mutter
軟言細語在漫罵羞辱我. against me all day long.
63 看看他們! 無論坐著或站立, Look at them! Sitting or standing,
都在不停歌唱嘲笑我. they mock me in their somgs.
64 耶和華啊! Pay them back what they deserve, O Lord,
求你按他們所作報應他們. for what their hands have done.
65 並且使他們的心頑梗剛硬, Put a veil over their hearts,
你的咒詛毫不留情臨他們! and may your curse be on them!
66 求你在忿怒中從你的高天, Pursue them in anger and destroy them
緊緊追趕他們並消滅他們. from under the heavens of the Lord.
