I. 禍哉!
Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim's dunkards,
         以法蓮酒徒引以為傲的花環,                   to the fading flower, his glorious beauty,
              榮美一時的凋謝花朵,                             set on the head of a fertile valley -
              爛醉為榮的城有禍了!              to that city, the pride of those laid low by wine!
See the Lord has one who is powerful and strong.
Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind,
                    如降冰雹狂風,                   like a driving rain and a flooding downpour,
                    若洩暴雨洪流,                      he will throw it forcefully to the ground.
That wreath, the pride of Ephraim's dunkards,
                     無情踐踏腳下.                                will be trampled underfoot.
That fading flower, his glorious beauty,
                榮美一時的凋謝花朵,                        set on the head of a fertile valley,
               將如收穫前早熟無花果,                     will be like a fig ripe before harvest -
               只要有人看到採摘在手,        as soon as someone sees it and takes it in his hand,
               就把這果-口吞吃下腹.                                      he swallows it.

In that day the Lord Almighty
                   對衪子民中的餘民                          will be a glorious crown,
                   一個瑰麗美艷花環.                      for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
                          公正之靈;                            to him who sits in judgment,
                  在城門口作戰得勝者                             a source of strength
                          力量泉源.               to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

And these also staggered from wine
                      因烈酒東歪西倒:                                and reel from beer:
              祭司和先知因烈酒東搖西晃,        Priests and prophets staggered from beer
                      酗酒使他們昏亂,                         and are befuddled with wine;
                      濃酒使他們歪倒;                                they reel from beer,
                      他們見異象搖晃,                      they stagger when seeing vision,
                      在作決斷時昏亂.                they stumble when rendering decisions.
All the tables are covered with vomit
                        沒有一處乾淨.                    and there is not a spot without filth.
Who is it he is trying to teach?
To whom is he explaining his message?
To children weaned from their milk,
                      剛離母親的嬰兒嗎?                      to just taken from the breast?
For it is:
                     命上加命, 令上加令,                              Do and do, do and do,
                     律上加律, 例上加例,                            rule on rule, rule on rule;
                     這裏一點, 那裏一點.                           a little here, a little there."

Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues,
God will speak to this people.
12                       衪對他們說:                                      to whom he said,
             "這是安息之所, 讓疲乏的人安息;    "This is the resting place, let the weary rest;"
                        這也是安歇之地."                      and , "This is the place of repose." -
                          但他們不肯聽.                               but they would not listen.
So then, the word of the Lord to them will become:
                      命上加命, 令上加令,                               Do and do, do and do,
                      律上加律, 例上加例,                            rule on rule, rule on rule;
                      這裏一點, 那裏一點.                            a little here, a little there -
                      他們前行, 往後跌倒,                so that they will go and fall backward,
                      受傷跌入網羅而被擄.                 be injured and snared and captured.

                 2. 錫安基石(28:14-22):
Therefore hear the word of the Lord,
                  你們要聽耶和華的話.                       who rule this people in Jerusalem.
You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death,
                      與陰間結了盟.                   with the grave we have made an agreement.
When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by,
                             打不到我們.                                      it cannot touch us,
                    因我們以謊言作避難所,                   for we have made a lie our refuge
                         以虛假作藏身處."                       and falsehood our hiding place."

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
                "看哪! 我在錫安安置一塊石頭,                    "See, I lay a stone in Zion,
                        一塊試鍊過的石頭,                                     a tested stone,
                   是穩固根基的寶貴房角石;         a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
                        信靠的人必不驚奇.               the one who trusts will never be dismayed.
I will make justice the measuring line
                        並且以公義作線鉈.                    and righteousness the plumb line;
               冰雹必沖走你們謊言的避難所,        hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie,
               洪流必淹沒你們虛假的藏身處.         and water will overflow your hiding place.
18               你們與死亡立的約必廢除,         Your covenant with death will be annulled;
                      與陰間結的盟必解除.          you agreement with the grave will not stand.
                    當懲罰之鞭狠狠打來時,          When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by,
                       你們必被打倒在地.                               you will be beaten down by it.
19             每次掃過時, 必把你們沖走;             As often as it comes it will carry you away;
                      每天早晨, 無論日夜,              morning after morning, by day and by night,
                          都會無情掃過."                                it will sweep through."

                            明白這信息,                   The understanding of this message
                         必造成驚惶恐慌.                               will bring sheer terror.
The bed is too short to stretch out on,
                         毯太窄難蓋全身.               the blanket too narrow to wrap around you.
The Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazin,
                     又像在基遍谷一樣醒起,       he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon -
                          去作衪奇妙的工,                     to do this work, his strange work,
                          去成衪奇異的事.                    and perform his task, his alien task.
Now stop your mocking,
                      否則你們的鎖鏈會更重;                or your chains will become heavier;
                      主萬軍之耶和華告訴我,            the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me
                         決定毀滅全地的事.      of the destruction decreed against the whole land.

                 3. 農務比喻(28:23-29):
23 你們要側耳細聽我的聲音,                              Listen and hear my voice;
         留心傾聽我說的話.                            pay attention and hear what I say.
When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually?
Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil?
When he has leveled the surface,
        不就撒種小茴香, 播種大茴香?    does he not now caraway and scatter cummin?
Does he not plant wheat in its place?
                  定地種大麥,                                           barley in its plot,
                  田野種粗麥?                                        and spelt in its field?
His God instruct him
               教他正確的方法.                             and teaches him the right way.

Caraway is not threshed with a sledge,
          大茴香不是用車輪輾出;                   nor is a cartwheel rolled over commin;
             小茴香是用棍打出,                           caraway is beaten out with a rod,
             大茴香是用棒打出.                                  and commin with a stick.
28        米穀需碾碎才能做餅,                      Grain must be ground to make bread;
            五穀雖需打穀機輾打,                  so one does not go on threshing it forever.
            但毋需不停用打穀機.     Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it.
All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
          衪的奇妙謀略和深奧智慧.          wonderful in counsel and maghificent in wisdom.

 II.
Woe to you, Ariel,
              大衛安營的城啊!                     the city where David settled!
                   年復一年,                                    And year to year
            你們的節期周而復始.              and let your cycle of festivals go on.
2       然而, 我要圍困亞利伊勒,                      Yet I will besiege Ariel;
              使滿城悲傷哀號,                         she will mourn and lament,
              對我如祭壇爐床.                 she will be to me like an altar hearth.
3         我要在你們四周紮營,               I will encamp against you all around;
             建高台圍困你們,                        I will encircle you with towers
             築工事圍攻你們.                 and set up my siege works against you.
4   你們必低頭, 從地上向我說話;    Brought low, you will spesk from the ground;
          塵土中發出不清言語,              your speech will mumble out of the dust.
          地土中吐露鬼叫聲音,          Your voice will come ghostlike from the earth;
          塵土中輕說低聲細語.               out of the dust your speech will whisper.

But your many enemies will become like fine dust,
          殘暴群眾將多如糠秕.                    the ruthless hordes like blown chalf.
Suddenly, in an instant,
6            萬軍之耶和華                                  the Lord Almighty will come
           在雷轟地震大聲中,                with thunder and earthquake and great noise,
        帶著狂風暴雨烈燄降臨.  with windstrom and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.
Then the horde of all the nations that fight against Ariel,
      全力進攻, 攻城堡, 圍困城;          that attack her and her fortress and besiege her,
       均如在夢中, 如夜間異象;      will be as it is with a dream, with a vision in the night -
8     一如饑民在夢中狼吞虎嚥,           as when a hungry man dreams that he is eating,
       南柯一夢醒來仍饑腸轆轆;                 but he awakens, and his hunger remains;
       又如乾渴之民在夢中狂飲,          as when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking,
       一場美夢醒來仍焦渴未解;          but he awakens faint, with his thirst unquenched.
        攻打錫安山的列國大軍,                So will it be with the hordes of all the nations
        他們的下場也必然如此.                              that fight against Mount Zion.

      (II) 責民無知(29:9-14):
Be stunned and amazed,
                         蒙住眼看不見;                      blind yourselves and be sightless;
                         非飲酒而醺醉,                           be drunk, but not from wine,
                         非酗酒而蹣跚.                             stagger, but not from beer.
The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep:
                  祂封住你們(先知)的眼,             He has sealed your eyes (the prophets);
                  並蓋住你們(先見)的頭.               he has covered your heads(the seers).

For you this whole vision is nothing
                整個異象只不過是卷中語.                             but words in a scroll.
And if you give the scroll to someone who can read,
                   並對他說: "請讀此卷."                  and say to him, "read this, please,"
             他回答: "書卷封住, 我不能讀."            he will answer, "I can't, it is sealed,"
Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read,
                    並對他說: "請讀此卷."                      and say, "Read this, please,"
                 他回答: "我不知道怎樣讀."       he will answer, "I don't know how to read."

The Lord says,
                     "這些百姓只用嘴親近我, "These people come near to me with their mouth
                              用口尊崇我,                        and honor me with their lips,
                        但他們的心卻遠離我.                but their hearts are far from me.
Their workship of me
                                來敬拜我.                 is made up only of rules taught by men.
Therefore once more I will astound these people
                        使這些百姓驚奇敬畏;                         with wonder upon wonder;
                        智慧者的智慧將消滅,                  the wisdom of the wise will perish,
                        聰明人的聰明將消失.          the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."

III.
Woe to those who go to great depths
            向耶和華隱藏計謀的, 有禍了!                to hide their plans from the Lord,
                     他們在暗中行事,                 who do their work in darkness and think,
"Who sees us? Who will know?"
You turn things upside down,
                       把窯匠當黏土!                as if potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to him who formed it,
                        "他沒造我."?                                  "He did not make me.?"
Can the pot say of the potter,
                     "他不知怎做."嗎?                                   He knows nothing?"

In a very short time, will not Lebanon be
              黎巴嫩能變為肥沃良田,                                  turned into a fertile field
                 與森林一樣肥美嗎?                              and the fertile field like a forest?
In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll,
             聾子能聽見書卷上的話語,                           and out of gloom and darkness
             瞎子眼睛能在漆黑中看見.                             the eyes of the blind will see.
19     再一次, 謙卑者要因耶和華歡喜;    Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord;
           貧困者要因以色列聖者快樂.      the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Isreal.
The ruthless will vanish,
                   譏笑人的必消失;                                   the mockers will disappear;
                   企圖作惡者以及:                               and all who  have an eye for evil
21               一言使人入罪者,                                            will be cut down -
                  庭中陷害被告者,    those who with a word make a man out to be guilty,
                  假見證害無辜者.                               who ensnare the defender in court
                  必全都滅絕剪除.   and with false testimony deprive the innocent of justice.

Therefore this is what the Lord,
                對雅各家說:        who redeemed Abraham, says to the house of Jacob:
             "雅各不再羞愧,                     "No longer will Jacob be ashamed;
              臉色不再蒼白.                      no longer will their faces grow pale.
When they see among them their children,
          我親手造的子孫之時;                              the work of my hands,
          他們必尊我的名為聖,                         they will keep my name holy;
           奉雅各的聖者為聖,  they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob,
           並敬畏以色列的神.                 and will stand in awe of the God of Isreal.
24  那些心中迷惑的必會明白, Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding;
      口中發怨言的必定受教導."            those who complain will accept instruction."

IV.
Woe to the obstinate children,"
                    "頑梗的兒女有禍了!                                 declares the Lord,
                   他們執行不是我的計劃,  "to those who carry out plans that are not mine,
                   任意結盟不依照我的靈,         forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit,
                         以致罪上加罪;                                 heaping sin upon sin;
2                     沒求問我就下埃及;       who go down to Egypt without cousulting me;
                       並求法老協助保護,           who look for help to Pharaoh's protection,
                       在埃及蔭庇下避難.                          to Egypt's shade for refuge.
But Pharoah's protection will be to your shame,
Egypt's shade will bring you disgrace.
Though they have officials in Zoan
                        使節團已抵達哈內斯,              and their envoys have arrived in Hanes,
5                      然而人人都蒙羞受辱,                      everyone will be put to shame
                   因去向對他們無益之人求助,             because of a people useless to them,
                        只有使他們慚愧蒙羞.                        but only shame and disgrace."

An oracle concerning the animals of the Negev:
                             雖在艱難困苦,                 Though a land of hardship and distress,
                         公獅母獅, 毒蛇飛蟒,                          of lions and lionesses,
                                 出沒之地;                          of adders and darting snakes,
                        使節團把貢物馱在驢背,   the envoys carry their riches on donkey's backs,
                               珠寶馱在駝峰,                their treasure on the humps of camels,
                        向對他們無益之國邁進,                      to that unprofitable nation,
7                        埃及對他們毫無助益,             to Egypt, whose help is utterly useless.
Therefore I call her
Rahab the Do-Nothing.

Go now, write it on a tablet for them,
          刻在板上, 寫在卷上,                                  inscribe it on a scroll,
          以作日後永遠的見證.   that for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness.
These are rebellious people, deceiful children,
       不聽從耶和華教導的兒女.        children unwilling to listen to the Lord's instruction.
They say the seers,
              "不要再見異象!"                                          "See no more visions!"
                 又對先知說:                                              and to the prophets,
       "不要再向我們顯示真異象!"                    "Give us no more visions of what is right!"
          只要告訴我們歡喜的事,                                     Tell us pleasant things,
                   虛幻預言.                                                   prophesy illusion.
11        離開正道, 轉離義路;                                 Leave this way, get off this path;
              不要在我們面前,                                           and stop confronting us
              提以色列的聖者!"                                       with the Holy One of Isreal!"

Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Isreal says:
           "因你們拒絕這信息,                            "Because you have rejected this message,
           信靠欺壓, 依賴詭詐,                relied on oppression and depended on deceit,
13             這罪對你們                                              this sin will become for you
            像座破裂鼓出高牆,                                 like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
            隨時都會突然倒塌.                                 that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
It will break in pieces like pottery,
              連塊碎片都難找,               that among its pieces not a fragment will be found
                有如爐中取炭,                                           for taking coals from a hearth
                又像池中舀水."                                      or scooping water out of a cistern."

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Isreal say:
            "你們得救在於悔改安息,                 "In repentance and rest is your salvation,
                得力在於平靜信靠,                        in quietness and trust is your strength,
                  惜你們兩者都無.                                 but you would have none of it.
You said, 'No, we will flee on horses.'
                   所以你們逃吧!                                         Therefore you will flee!
        你們又說: '我們要騎快馬飛奔.'                You said, 'We will ride off on swift horses.'
                所以追你們的更快!                           Therefore your pursuers will be swift!
17              一人威脅千人逃,                        A thousand will fleeat at the threat of one;
                  五人威脅全逃光.                        at the threat of five you will all flee away,
                     直至剩下的                                                    till you are left
                     如山頂旗桿,                                   like a flagstaff on a mountaintop,
                     像崗上大旗."                                             like a banner on a hill."

       (III) 等候神蒙眷顧(30:18-26):
18       然而, 耶和華早欲對你們施恩,         Yet the Lord longs to be graciuos to you;
                   衪要起來憐憫你們,                     he rises to show you compassion.
                  因耶和華是公義的神.                     For the Lord is a God of justice.
                  等候衪的人都有福了!                   Blessed are all who wait for him!

O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem,
                     你們不會再哭泣,                                  you will weep no more.
How gracious he will be
                    衪是何等寬宏施恩!                              when you cry out for help!
As soon as he hears, he will answer you.
Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversary
                   以困苦給你們當飲水;                             and the water of affliction,
                   你們的教師不再隱藏,                   your teachers will be hidden no more;
                   你們會親眼看見他們,                   with your own eyes you will see them.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left,
                   你們會聽見耳後聲音:             your ears will hear a voice behind you saying,
"This is the way, walk in it."
Then you will defile your idols overlaid with silver
                   同時會丟棄鍍金鑄像.                        and your images covered with gold;
                   一如丟棄污穢月經布,            you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth
                   並對他們說: "你滾開!"                       and say to them, "Away with you!"

He will also send you rain
    滋潤你們撒在地上的種籽,                  for the seed you sow in the ground,
    地上生產的食物豐盛充裕. and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful.
In that day
  你們會在廣大草場放牧牲畜.              your cattle will graze in broad meadows.
The oxen and donkeys that wo
  將飽吃叉鏟散開的穀麩飼料.   will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.
In the day of great slaugter, when the towers fall,
         城樓全傾倒崩塌,                                       streams of water will flow
       河水流過高山崗陵.                      on every high mountain and every lofty hill.
The moon will shine like the sun,
    醫治衪所造成的傷害時,                  and the sunlight will be seven times brighter,
         月亮明亮如日,                                    like the light of seven full days,
         太陽七倍發光,                      when the Lord binds up the bruise of his people
         亮過七日之光.                                 and heals the wounds he afflicted.

See, the Name of the Lord comes from afar,
        帶著燃燒烈怒, 濃密煙雲;         with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke;
           唇滿忿怒, 舌如烈火.  his lips are full of wrath, and his tongue is a consuming fire.
His breath is like a rushing torrent, rising
          以毀滅之篩篩凈列國;           He shakes the nations in the sieve of destruction;
             把嚼環置入民口                           he places in the jaws of the peoples
             使他們迷離走失.                                  a bit that leads them astray.
And you will sing
            夜間開懷盡情歌唱;                  as on the night you celebrate a holy festival;
               也會像吹笛人                                        your hearts will rejoice
               上耶和華的山,                               as when people go up with flutes
               登以色列磬石,                                    to the mountain of the Lord,
               心中歡喜快樂.                                           to the Rock of Isreal.
The Lord will cause men to hear his majestic voice
          並讓他們看見衪的膀臂            and will make them see his arm coming down
                帶著烈怒焚火,                       with raging anger and consuming fire,
                豪雨雷雹打下.                      with cloudburst, thunderstrom and hail.
The voice of the Lord will shatter Assyria,
          衪的權杖要把他們擊倒.                with his scepter he will strike them down.
Every stroke the Lord lays on them
             對他們每擊打一下,                                   with his punishing rod
             都會發出鼓琴樂聲,               will be to the music of tambourines and harps,
        如衪在戰場用膀臂打擊一樣.    as he fights them in battle with the blows of his arm.
33       因陀斐特早已預備好了,                        Topbeth has long been prepared;
                隨時登基為王.                            it has been made ready for the king.
                在深闊的火坑,                        Its fire pit has been made deep and wide,
                堆好大量柴火;                            with an abundance of fire and wood;
               耶和華吹一口氣,                                       the breath of the Lord,
               像燃燒硫磺火流,                                like a stream of burning sulfur,
               把烈火全面點燃.                                               sets it ablaze.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
                     依賴馬車眾多,                                 who rely on horses,
                     和靠騎兵強大;             who trust in the multitude of their chariots
                  不仰望以色列聖者,          and in the great strength of their hoesemen,
                  和尋求耶和華賜助,             but do not look to the Holy One of Isreal,
           反而下埃及求助的人, 有禍了!                   or seek help from the Lord.
Yet he too is wise and can bring dissater,
                 衪言而有信絕不食言.                   he does not take back his words.
                 會起來攻擊惡人之家,       He will rise up against the house of the wicked;
                 並打擊助人作惡之人.                   against those who help evildoers.
3                 埃及人是人不是神,              But the Egyptians are men and not God;
                他們的馬匹是肉不是靈.               their horses are flesh and not spirit.
                  當耶和華伸出衪的手,              When the Lord stretches out his hand,
                   那幫助人的必倒地,                          he who helps will stumble,
                    受幫助者必仆倒,                             he who is helped will fall;
                      兩者同時毀滅.                              both will perish together.

This is what the Lord says to me:
                   "雄獅撲倒獵物吼叫,          "As a lion growls, a great lion over his prey -
                    縱使召集大群牧人                and though a whole hand of shepherds
                    -起前來攻擊獅子,                      is callled together against him,
                   牠也無懼他們的喊叫,                he is not frightened by their shouts
                   也不受他們尖聲驚擾;                      or disturbed by their clamor -
                     萬軍之耶和華照樣                 so the Lord Almighty will come down
                     降臨錫安山頂戰鬥.         to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.
Like birds hovering overhead,
                   如鳥盤旋空中護雛鳥;             the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem;
                        盡力保護拯救,                          he will shield it and deliver it,
                        極力飛越搶救."                  he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it."

Return to him you have so greatly revolted against,
O Isrealites.
For in that day every one of you
                     你們定必丟棄罪手                     will reject the idols of silver and gold
                     親自造的金銀偶像.                           your sinful hands have made.

       (II) 亞述滅亡(31:8-9):
8     亞述必倒在非人的刀下,           Assyria will fall by a sword that is not of man;
       非人的刀必把他們吞滅.               a sword, not of mortals, will devour them.
            他們在刀前逃命,                           They will flee before the sword
            壯丁定必作苦役.               and their young men will be put to forced labor.
9      堅固陣地因恐慌而崩潰,               Their stronghold will fall because of terror;
        統帥一見戰旗心驚膽戰."  at sight of the battle standard their commander will panic."
              這是火在錫安,                        declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion,
       爐在耶路撒冷耶和華說的.                       whose furnance is in Jerusalem.

      (III) 公義之王(32:1-8):
See, a king will reign in righteousness
                 必有統領依公正統治.                      and rulers will rule with justice.
Each man will be like a shelter from the wind
                     暴風雨的避難所,                          and a refuge from the strom,
                     曠野中的流水川,                          like sreams of water in the desert
                     乾涸地的巨岩影.            and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed,
         親耳聽見這些的留心傾聽.                and the ears of those who hear will listen.
The mind of the rash will know and understand,
          笨口拙舌的必口齒流利.          and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.
No longer will the fool be called noble
               惡棍不再受尊敬.                          nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
6      因愚人說蠢話, 心中謀惡事;        For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil;
               奉行無神不敬虔,                                     He practices ungodliness
               放言褻瀆耶和華;                        and spreads error concerning the Lord;
               饑民空腹不得食,                                   the hungry be leaves empty
               渴者乾渴無水飲.                        and from the thirsty he withholds water.
The scoundrel's methods are wicked,
               惡棍心惡謀陷害,           he makes up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies,
               惡計謊言毀貧困.                          even when the plea of the needy is just.
But the noble man makes noble plans,
               高尚行為力堅持.                                   and by noble deeds he stands.

You women who are so complacent,
                     起來細聽我言!                         rise up and listen to me!
                     安穩的女兒啊,                   you daughters who feel secure,
                     要聽我說的話!                         hear what I have to say!
In little more than a year
                 自感安穩的要震驚;                you who feel secure will tremble;
                      葡萄要歉收,                          the grape harvest will fail,
                      果樹沒收成.                and the harvest of fruit will not come.
11        自滿的婦女啊, 你們要戰抖!          Tremble, you complacent women;
            安穩的女兒啊, 你們要震驚!    shudder, you daughters who feel secure!
                        脫下衣裳,                               Strip of your clothes,
                        腰披麻布.                    put sackcloth around your waists.
Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields,
                       搥胸痛哭吧!                              for the fruitful vines
13                   也為我子民                        and for the land of my people,
                 長滿荊棘蒺藜的土地;        a land overgrown with thorns and briers -
                 和洋溢著喜樂的家庭,          yes, mourn for all houses of merriment
                 充滿歡樂的城邑哀哭!                      and for this city of revelry.
The fortress will be abandoned,
                    熱鬧城邑變荒涼;                           the noisy city deserted;
                    碉堡高台永廢棄,  citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever,
                    成為野驢歡喜地,              the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
                    放牧牛羊青草場,                                  a pasture for flocks,
15                直至聖靈從天降,             till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high,
                    荒漠頓時變良田,                   and the desert becomes a fertile field,
                    良田青蔥如森林.                   and the fertile field seems like a forest.
Justice will dwell in the desert
                    公義定住在良田.                  and righteousness live in the fertile field.
17                公義結成和平果,                   The fruit of righteousness will be peace;
                    公義果效得安寧,                the effect of righteousness will be quietness
                    滿有信心到永遠.                                   and confidence forever.
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
                    安寧之地得安息.                              in undisturbed places of rest.
Though hail flattens the forest
                    城邑全夷為平地,                           and the city is leveled completely,
20                你們多麼有福啊!                                     how blessed you will be,
                    沿著河畔撒美種,                           sowing your seed by every stream,
                    牛驢自由吃牧草.                 and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.

 VI.
Woe to you, O destroyer,
                           你們有禍了!                      you who have not been destroyed!
                   背叛者啊, 你們有禍了!                              Woe to you, O traitor,
             你們停止毀滅, 自己必被毀滅;    When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed;
               你們停止背叛, 自己必被背         when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed.

O Lord be gracious to us,
                           我們渴望你.                                     we long for you.
                    每清晨, 作我們的力量,                  Be our strength every morning,
                    遭難時, 作我們的拯救.                  our salvation in time of distress.
3                      你打雷, 百姓奔逃,         At the thunder of your voice, the people flee;
                        你起來, 列國潰散.                when you rise up, the nations scatter.

4        列國啊! 你掠奪如幼蝗掃莊稼, your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts;
                人如成群蝗群猛跳躍.              like a swarm of locusts men pounce on it.

5          耶和華居高處受尊崇,               The Lord is exalted, for he dwellls on high;
            祂使公正公義滿錫安.            he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness.
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
        救恩智慧和知識的豐盛寶庫,   a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
        敬畏耶和華是打開寶庫之鑰.         the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

7        看哪! 他們的勇士在街頭高喊,      Look, their brave men cry aloud in the streets;
                和平使節在痛苦哀哭.                     the envoys of peace weep bitterly.
The highways are deserted, no travelers are on the roads.
The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised,
                     再也無人尊重.                                  no one is respected.
The land mourns and wastes away,
                    黎巴嫩蒙羞凋零;                    Lebanon is ashamed and withers;
                    沙崙淪落如曠野,                                 Sharon is like desert,
                    巴珊迦密落葉飄.              and Bashan and Carmel drop their leaves.

Now will I arise," says the Lord,
"Now will I be exalted; now will I be lifted up.
You conceive chaff,
                       就要生下稻草;                         you give birth to straw;
               你們的氣如火, 燒滅自己.       your breath is a fire that consumes you.
12                百姓陷身熾熱石灰            The peoples will be burned as if to lime;
                    燃燒荊棘烈火中."         like cut thornbushes they will be set ablaze."
13          遠方的人啊, 要聽我的作為! You who are far away, hear what I have done;
              近處的人啊, 要知我的大能!   you who are near, acknowledge my power!
14                錫安的罪人驚恐,                    The sinners in Zion are terrified;
                   不敬虔的人戰抖;                        trembling grips the godless;
               "我們誰能與烈火同住?     "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire?
                我們誰能與永火同居?"     Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?"
He who walks righteously
                       說話正直;                               and speaks what is right,
                       拒不義財,                         who rejects gains from extortion
                       不受賄賂;                 and keeps his hand from accepting bribes,
                       不聽凶殺,                 who stops his ears against plots of murder
                      不看惡事者;             and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil -
16                    必居高處,                this is the man who will dwell on the heights,
