Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth!
For the Lord has spoken:
                 "我養兒育女撫養成人,             "I reared children and brought them up,
                  但他們竟不孝悖逆我.                   but they have rebelled against me.
The ox knows his master,
                        驢子認主槽.                             the donkey his owner's manger.
                     以色列卻不認我,                                but Israel does not know
                     我的民也不識我."                           my people do not understand."

Ah, sinful nation,
                        滿身罪孽的民,                                a people loaded with guilt,
                        一群犯罪的人,                                      a brood of evildoers,
                        極敗壞的兒女!                               children given to corruption!
                       他們背棄耶和華;                            They have forsaaken the Lord;
                       藐視以色列聖者,                  they have spurned the Holy One of Isreal
                       轉身遠離背棄衪.                             and turned their back on him.

Why should you be beaten anymore?
Why do you persist in rebellion?
Your whole head is injured,
            整個心都受害.                                             your whole heart afflicted.
From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness -
        傷痕壘壘, 傷口曝露;                                only wounds and welts and open sores,
        未加包紮, 沒塗葯膏.                             and cleansed or bandaged or sooth with oil.

Your country is desolate,
                 你們的城邑火焚;                              your cities burned with fire;
                 你們都親眼看著,                 your fields are being stripped by foreigners
                 田園被外人侵吞,                                        right before you,
                 被異族蹂躪荒蕪.                 laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
The daughter of Zion is left
                 像葡萄園的草棚,                                 like a shelter in a vineyard,
                 又像瓜田的茅屋,                               like a hut in a field of melons,
                 更像被圍的城邑.                                      like a city under siege.
Unless the Lod Almighty
                 施恩留下生還者,                                   had left us some survivors,
                 早就淪為所多瑪,                            we would have become like Sodom,
                 一起變成蛾摩拉.                            we would have been like Gomorrah.

Hear the word of the Lord,
                 要聽耶和華的話!                                   you ruler of Sodomo;
                 蛾摩拉的百姓啊,                              listen to the law of our God,
                 要傾聽神的教誨!                                you people of Gomorrah!
The multitude of your sacrifices -
               "你們所獻許多祭物,                                 what are they to me?"
                對我有甚麼益處呢?                                       says the Lord.
                    我已有足夠的               "I have more than enough of burnt offerings,
              公羊燔祭和肥牲脂油;                 of rams and the fat of fattened animals;
                    我也不會喜悅                                       I have no pleasure
               公牛羔羊和山羊的血.                in the blood of bulls and lambs and gosts.
When you come to appear before me,
                    是誰要求你們                                  who has asked this of you,
                這樣踐踏我院宇的?                              this trampling of my courts?
Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
Your incense is detestable to me.
New moons, Sabbaths and convocations -
I cannot bear your evil assemblies.
Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts
               我心中更是深惡痛絕.                                        my soul hates.
               這些都成為我的負擔,                       They have become a burden to me;
               我萬分厭倦難以忍受.                             I am weary of bearing them.
When you spread out your hands in prayer,
               我掩起雙目不看你們;                             I will hide my eyes from you;
               即使你們不斷的祈禱,                            even if you offer many prayers,
               我也會掩起雙耳不聽.                                          I will not listen.
               因你們雙手沾滿鮮血.                               Your hands are full of blood.

       (III) 除惡行善(1:16-20):
                                    新 譯                                                     英 文
Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight!
Stop doing wrong,
17                        學習行善!                                     learn to do right!
Seek justice,
                            鼓勵弱小.                               encourge the oppressed.
Defend the cause of the fatherless,
                          為寡婦申冤.                             plead the case of the widow.

Come now, let us reason together,"
                  "來吧! 讓我們一起理論.                                  says the Lord,
                      你們的罪雖然鮮紅,                  "Though your sins are like scarlet,
                      也可變得潔白如雪;                     they shall be as white as snow;
                      你們的罪縱然深紅,                     though they are red as crimson,
                      亦可變得白如羊毛.                             they shall be like wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
                      必吃地上最佳美食;                   you will eat the best from the land;

20                   你們若是悖逆抗拒,                           but if you resist and rebel,
                       必定會被刀劍吞滅."                  you will be devoured by the sword."
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

See how the faithful city has become a harlot!
                         這城從前充滿公正;                    She once was full of justice;
                            公義居住其間,                  righteousness used to dwell in her -
                            現成兇手天下!                               but now murderers!
Your sillver has become dross,
                           美酒摻水淡無味.               your choice wine diluted with water.
23                       你們的官員叛逆,                           Your rulers are rebels;
                          無一不收受賄賂.                               they all love bribes
                          全都在追逐私利.                              and chase after gifts.
                         他們不為孤兒辯護,      They do not defend the cause of the fatherless;
                         更不會為寡婦申冤.        the widow's case does not come before them.

        (V) 悔改得救(1:24-31):
                                        新 譯                                                  英 文
Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
                          以色列的大能者曉諭:            the Mighty One of Isreal, declares:
                      "啊! 我要向我的仇人雪恨,          "Ah, I will get relief from my foes
                             向我的敵人報仇!               and avenge myself on my enemies.
25                      我定要轉手對付你們,               I will turn my hand against you;
                          徹底清除你們的渣滓,       I will thoroughly purge away your dross
                          並且除去你們的污穢.                and remove all your impurities.
I will restore your judges as in days of old,
                           重立你們起初的謀士.            your counselors as at the beginning.
Afterward you will be called
                           公義之城, 忠貞之邑."       the City of righteousness, the Faithful City,"

Zion will be redeemed with justice,
                             悔改者得公義拯救.             her penitent ones with righteousness.
But rebels and sinners will both be broken,
                             背棄主的定必滅亡,         and those who foesake the Lord will perish.

You will be ashamed because of the sacred oaks
                              喜愛的聖橡慚愧;                       in which you have delighted;
                                   你們也因              you will be disgraced because of the gardens
                              選擇的園子蒙羞.                             that you have chosen.
You will be like an oak with fading leaves,
                           又像水源枯竭的園子.                     like a garden without water.
The mighty man will become tinder
                             所作所為發火花;                               and his work a spark;
                             引燃大火同燒盡,                              both will burn together,
                             沒有一人來滅火.                         with no one to quench the fire."

                            耶和華殿的山,     the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established

                         必被高舉眾嶺之上,                     it will be raised above the hills,
                         萬國紛紛結隊來朝.                     and all nations will stream to it.

Many people will come and say,
                  "來吧! 讓我們登耶和華的山,    "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
                            上雅各神的殿.                          to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
                         並領我們走衪的路."                       so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
                           主言從耶城而來.                       the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He will judge between the nations
                         在萬民中排解紛爭.                   and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
                       並且要使長矛變鐮刀.                       and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
                       也不再從事整軍經武.                        nor will they train for war anymore.
Come, O house of Jacob,
                    讓我們在耶和華光中行走!                       let us walk in the light of the Lord.

       你離棄了你的子民雅各家.                                     the house of Jacob.
       因他們之中充滿東方迷信,                  They are full of superstition from the East;
           行非利士人占卜術,                       they practice divination like the Philistines
           並且與異教徒擊掌.                                    and clasp hands with pagans.
Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures.
          遍地駿馬, 無數戰車;           Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
8            到處都是偶像;                                        Their land is full of idols;
    叩拜手造; 膜拜指作. they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
So man will be brought low
               勿饒恕他們.                                              do not forgive them.

Go into the rock, hide in the ground
                  以躲避耶和華的威嚴可畏,                       from dread of the Lord
                  以及衪的貴冑發出的榮光!                and the splendor of his majesty!
The eyes of arrogant man will be humbled
                       驕傲自大的必俯伏.                   and the pride of men brought low;
                   那日, 唯有耶和華被高舉.          the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

The Lord Almighty has a day in store
                           給驕傲自大者,                              for all the proud and lofty,
                           高抬自己的人;                                  for all that is exalted
                          (他們終必謙卑)                             (and they will be humbled),
13                 給崇高的黎巴嫩香柏樹,              for all cedars of Lobanon, tall and lofty,
                           以及巴珊橡樹;                              and all the oaks of Bashan,
14                         給所有高山,                            for all the towering mountains

15                       給所有的高台,                                     for every lofty tower
                           所有堅固城牆;                                  and every fortified wall,
16                       給所有的商船,                                    for every trading ship
                           所有威武戰艦.                                 and every stately vessel.
The arrogance of man will be brought low
                          驕傲之人必卑微.                         and the pride of men humbled;
18                那日, 唯獨耶和華被高舉,            the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
                          偶像必完全消失.                       and the idols will totally disappear.

Men will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground
          人們都逃入岩穴藏在地洞.                                       from dread of the Lord
          以躲避耶和華的威嚴可畏,                               and the splendor of his majesty,
          以及衪的貴冑發出的榮光.                               when he rises to shake the earth.
In that day men will throw away
              世人會把自己手造                                              to the rodents and bats

              丟棄給野鼠和蝙蝠.                                         which they made to worship.
They will flee to caverns in the rocks
        人們都逃入岩穴藏在石隙.                                      and to the overhanging crags
        以躲避耶和華的威嚴可畏,                                           from dread of the Lord
 以及衪的貴冑發出的榮光. the splendor of his majesty,when he rises to shake the earth.

Stop trusting in man,
                  他們只不過是衪鼻中一口氣.                      who has but a breath in his nostrils.
Of what account is he?

See now, the Lord,
                        將不再供應及支持                is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah
                          耶路撒冷和猶大,                                both supply and support:
                     即停止供應糧食和飲水.            all supplies of food and all supplies of water.
2                     也要除掉英雄和勇士,                                  the hero and warrior,
                             判官和先知,                                      the judge and prophet,
                             術士和長老,                                     the soothsayer and elder,

3          及五十夫長和高階大員,                     the captain of fifty and man of rank,
       足智謀士 精工巧匠及精明術士.  the counselor, skilled craftman and clever enchanter.

4                       我必使孩量作首領,                        I will make boys their officials;
                              孺子管他們.                           mere children will govern them.
People will oppress each other -
                     人欺壓人, 鄰居欺壓鄰居;        man against man, neighbor against neighbor.
The young will rise up against the old,
                             卑賤欺壓貴族.                          the base against the honorable.

A man will seize one of his brothers
                        拉住自己一個兄弟說:                   at his father's home, and say,
                 "你有件外袍, 就作我們的領袖;       "You have a cloak, you be our leader;
                          去管理這堆廢墟吧!"                take charge of this heap of ruins!"
But in that day he will cry out,
                             "我束手無策,                                   "I have no remedy.
                       連自己家中衣食都沒有,           I have no food or clothing to my house;
                       不要立我作百姓的領袖."         do not make me the leader of the people."

8                     耶路撒冷崩潰, 猶大傾覆,               Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling;
                        他們的言行衝撞耶和華,          their words and deeds are against the Lord,
                        藐視耶和華顯現的榮光.                       defying the glorious presence.
9                   他們的表情證明他們的悖逆,      The look on their faces testifies against them;
                     像所多瑪一樣暴露連串罪惡;                they parade their sin like Sodom;
                           明目張膽毫不掩飾.                                  they do not hide it.
                                他們有禍了!                                          Woe to them!
                                 招災害己.                  They have brought disaster upon themselves.

Tell the righteous it will be well with them,
          因他們必享己行所結果子.               for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them!
They will be paid back for what their hands have done.

Youths oppress my people,
                                女子統治他們.                                 women rule over them.
                   我的民啊! 你們的領導使你們失迷,      O my people, your guides lead you astray,
                              他們使你們走偏路.                          they turn you from the path.

              4. 神的審判(3:13-15):
13                              耶和華親出庭,                   The Lord takes his place in court;
                                  起身審判子民.                        he rises to judge the people.
The Lord enters into judgment
                              百姓的長老和首領:          against the elders and leaders of his people:
                        "就是你們毀了我的葡萄園,           "It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
                          搶奪的窮人出自你們家中.      the plunder from the poor is in your houses.
What do you mean by crushing my people
                          此外還去折磨窮人的顏面?"            and grinding the faces of the poor?"
                          這是主萬軍之耶和華宣示.            declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

The Lord says,
                                   "錫安女子傲,                "The women of Zion are haughty,
                                    行走挺頸項,            walking along with outstretched necks,
                                    媚眼送秋波,                          flirting with their eyes,
                                    輕飄移蓮步,                 tripping along with mincing steps,
                                    腳飾響叮噹.             with ornaments jingling on their ankles.
Therefore the Lord will bring sores
                                      頭長瘌痢,                   on the heads of the women of Zion;
                                      脫髮禿頭.                   the Lord will make their scalps bald."

      香水瓶、鏈飾、戒指、鼻環、華服、披肩、大衣、皮包、手鏡、細麻衣、后冠、圍巾等.

24                               以腐臭代替馨香,      Instead of fragrance there will be a stench;
                                   以繩索代替腰帶,                     instead of a sash, a rope;
                                   以禿頭代替秀髮,          instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;
                                   以麻衣代替華服,              instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;
                                   以烙痕代替美貌,                    instead of beauty, branding.
Your men will fall by the sword,
                                  你的勇士必殉戰場.                       your warriors in battle.

26                             錫安城門必哀傷號哭,       The gates of Zion will lament and mourn;
                                 城必悽慘荒涼坐大地.           destitute, she will sit on the ground.

III.
I will sing for the one I love
                          高唱他的葡萄園:                       a song about his vineyard:
                          在肥沃的山丘上,                     My loved one had a vineyard
                      我愛的人有座葡萄園.                            on a fertile hillside.
He dug it up and cleared it of stones
                         栽種上好的葡萄.               and planted it with the choicest vines.
He built a watchtower in it
                         並且開鑿搾酒池.                     and cut out a winepress as well.
Then he looked for a crop of good grapes,
                         但卻結出壞葡萄.                         but it yielded only bad fruuit.

Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and men of Judah,
                   你們評論我和我的葡萄園.             judge between me and my vineyard.

What more could have been done for my vineyard
                  還能為我的葡萄園作甚麼呢?                        than I have done for it?
When looked for good grapes,
                       卻意外結出壞葡萄呢?                          why did it yield only bad?
Now I will tell you
                    我要怎樣處理我的葡萄園:            what I am going to do to my vineyard:
                            我要拆除園籬,                                I will take away its hedge,
                            使園子全毀滅;                                  and it will be destroyed;
                            我要拆掉圍牆,                                 I will break down its wall,
                            讓人隨意踐踏.                                    and it will be trampled.
I will make it a wasteland,
                             園中雜草叢生.                       and briers and thorns will grow there.
I will command the clouds not to ruin on it."

The vineyard of the Lord Almighty
                            就是以色列的家;                              is the house of Isreal,
                              祂喜愛的園子,                               and the men of Judah
                                就是猶大人.                           are the garden of his delight.
                       祂期望公正, 卻看到流血;     And he looked for justice, but saw bloodshed;
                       祂期望公義, 卻聽到哀嚎.       for righteouness, but heard cries of distress.

         (II) 惡行六禍(5:8-25):
Woe to you who add house to house
                        霸佔全地而獨居的,                  and join field to field, till no space is left
                                有禍了!                                  and you live alone in the land.

The Lord Almighty has declared in my hearing:
                    "大屋成廢墟,                 "Surely the great houses will become desolate,
                     豪宅無人居;                       the fine mansions left without occupants.
A ten-acre vineyard will produce only a bath of wine,
          一賀梅珥種子只收一伊法穀."             a homer of seed only an ephah of grain."

Woe to those
        留連至深夜, 酗酒發燒的,   who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks,
                   有禍了!            who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine.

They have harps and lyres at their banquets,
         手鼓簫笛和美酒;                          tambourines and flutes and wine,
         但不理耶和華作為,         but they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord,
         也不尊衪手作的工.                      no respect for the work of his hands .
13     故我民因無知被擄, Therefore my people will go into exile for lack of understanding;
        權貴饑餓枵腹而死,                        then men of rank will die of hunger
        平民百姓乾渴而亡.                and their masses will be parched with thirst.
Therefore the grave enlarges its appetite
         張開無限血盆大口;                        and opens its mouth without limit;
         貧富貴賤爛醉狂歡,                into it will descend their nobles and masses
         大伙一同沉淪陰間.                        with all their brawlers and revelers.

So man will be bought low and mankind humbled,
              驕傲眼目低下謙卑.                            the eyes of the arrogant humbled.
But the Lord Almighty will be exalted by his justice,
       至聖之神, 因公義顯為至聖.  the holy God will show himself holy by his righteousness.
17    那時, 羊群像在自己草場上吃草,       Then sheep will graze as in their own pasture;
             羔羊在富人廢墟中覓食.               lambs will feed among the ruins of the rich.

Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit,
              以車繩牽引罪惡的有禍了!                   and wickedness as with cart ropes,
19               他們說: "願神趕快,                        to those who say, "Let God hurry,
                   加速完成衪的大工,                                 let him hasten his work
                   好讓我們世人看見.                                       so we may see it.
Let it approach,
                   讓我們大家都知道.                 let the plan of the Holy One of Isreal come,
                   以色列聖者旨意到,                                       so we may know it."

Woe to those
                 以暗為光, 以光為暗;                              who call evil good and good evil,
                 以苦為甜, 以甜為苦:             who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
                       的人有禍了!                      who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
                        的人有禍了!                                and clever in their own sight.
Woe to those
                    自認為調酒冠軍;                            who are heroes at drinking wine
23                赦免受賄者的罪,                             and champions at mixing drinks,
                    剝奪義人的公正;                            who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
                       的人有禍了!                                but deny justice to the innocent.
Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw
                         乾草落火海;                      and as dry grass sinks down to the flames,
                        他們的根朽壞,                                   so their roots will decay
                        花朵如塵吹散.                       and their flowers blow away like dust;
           因他們拒絕萬軍之耶和華的律法,   for they have rejeted the law of the Lord Almighty
                  藐視以色列聖者的教誨.         and spurned the word of the Holy One of Isreal.
Therefore the Lord's anger burns against his people,
                     並舉手把他們打倒.                 his hand is raised and he strikes them down.
The mountains shake,
                   屍體堆積如街上垃圾.         and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets.

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
                       衪的手仍然高舉.                                 his hand is still upraised.

He lifts up a banner for the distant nations,
                並為地極人們吹響哨子.       he whistles for those at the ends of the earth.
Here they come,
Not one of them grows tired or stumbles,
                  沒有一個打肫入睡;                          not one slumbers or sleeps;
                       腰帶不放鬆,                        not a belt is loosened at the waist,
                       鞋帶不斷裂;                             not a sandal thong is broken.
28                 箭銳利, 弓堅強;        Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strong;
                        馬蹄如火石,                         their horses' hoofs seem like flint,
                        車輪如旋風;                       their chariot wheels like a whirlwind.
29                     咆哮如獅子,                           their roar is like that of the lion,
                                                                        they roar like young lions;
                        哮叫抓獵物,                          they growl as they seize their prey
                                                                and carry it off with no one to rescue.
In that day they will roar over it
                        好像怒海澎湃.                                 like the roaring of the sea.
                        如世人望大地,                                And if one looks at the land,
                        只見黑暗災難;                           he will see darkness and distress;
                        光在雲中變暗.                   even the light wll be darkened by the clouds.

 IV.
                      "聖哉! 聖哉! 聖哉!                               "Holy, holy, holy
                          萬軍之耶和華;                             is the Lord Almigghty;
                      祂的榮光充滿全地."                the whole earth is full of his glory."
             在呼喊聲中, 門柱門檻震動, 聖殿充滿煙霞.
             那時我大喊: "禍哉! 我死定了! 因我是個嘴唇不潔的人, 又住在嘴唇不潔的民中, 且我親眼
                "'你們聽是聽見, 卻不明白;    "'Be ever hearing, but never understanding;
                     看是看見, 卻不曉得.'              be ever seeing, but never perceiving.'
                    你要使這百姓心地堅硬;         Make the heart of this people calloused;
                             耳朵遲鈍,                                  make their ears dull
                             緊閉雙目.                                  and close their eyes.
                       免得他們眼睛看見,           Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
                             耳朵聽見,                                   hear with their ears,
                             心裏明白,                             understand with their heart,
                      回轉過來, 便得醫治."                          and turn and be healed."
         於是我說: "主啊! 這要到幾時呢?" 衪回答:
Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant,
                       直至房屋棄置,                   until the houses are left deserted
                          田地荒蕪;                      and the fields ruined and ravaged,
                直至耶和華把人遣送遠方,       until the Lord has sent everyone far away
12                    土地完全廢棄.                     and the land is utterly forsaken.
And though a tenth remains in the land,
13                    終必無法生存.                           it will again laid waste.
But as the terebinth and oak
                         留下樹墩,                    leave stumps when they are cut do
                這地上樹墩就是神聖種子.   so the holy seed will be the stump in the land."
