第八章 重建以色列(I)
I. 得勝神降臨(40:1-26):
(I) 神的安慰(40:1-2):
1 你們的神說: Comfort, comfort my people,
"你們去安慰, 安慰我的子民! says your God.
2 要溫柔對耶路撒冷說話, Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
並且要向她宣告: and proclaim to her
她的苦難受夠了, that her hard service has been completed,
她的罪孽還清了, that her sin has been paid for.
她所有犯下的罪 that she has received from the Lord's hand
都受到耶和華手的加倍刑罰." double for all her sins.
(II) 曠野預備(40:3-8):
3 有聲音在呼喊: A voice of one calling,
"要在曠野中為耶和華預備道路, "In the desert prepare the way for the Lord;
在沙漠為我們的神修平直大道. make straight in the wildness a highway for our God.
4 每一山谷都要隆起, Every valley shall be raised up,
每座山崗都要降低; every mountain and hill made low;
高低的地變得平坦, the rough ground shall become level,
崎嶇的山變成平原. the rugged places a plain.
5 耶和華的榮光顯現, And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
全人類都有目共睹. and all mankind together will see it.
耶和華親口這樣說." For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
6 有聲音說: "你呼喊吧!" A voice says, "Cry out,"
我說: "我呼喊甚麼呢?" and I said, "What shall I cry?"
"人都盡如青草, "All men are like grass,
榮美如野地花. and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.
7 草會枯花會謝, The grass withers and the flowers fall,
因耶和華吹氣. because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
人確都是青草, Surely the people are grass.
8 草會枯花會謝, The grass withers and the flowers fall,
神的道永長存." but the word of our God stands forever."
(III) 神乃善牧(40:9-11):
9 報好信息給錫安的啊! You who bring good things to Zion,
你要登上高山; go up on high mountain.
報好信息給耶路撒冷的啊! You who bring good things to Jerusalem,
你要大聲高呼. lift up your voice with a shout,
大聲喊不要怕! lift it up, do not be afraid;
對猶大城邑說: say to the towns of Judah,
"你們的神在此!" "Here is your God!"
10 看哪! 大能的主耶和華降臨, See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power,
祂以臂膀統治; and his arm rules for him.
看哪! 祂的賞賜隨著衪, See, his reward is with him,
祂的報應不離衪. and his recompense accompanies him.
11 祂像牧人牧群羊, he tends his flock like a shepherd:
用祂雙手集羔羊, He gathers the lambs in his arms
緊緊抱在心懷裏; and carries them close to his heart;
溫柔引領母乳羊. he gently leads those that have young.
(IV) 偉大無比(40:12-26):
12 誰曾用手心量過大水, Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
或用手掌去衡量諸天? or with the breadth of his hand marked of the heavens?
誰曾用籃子裝過灰塵, Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,
或用秤稱過高山大嶺, or weighed the mountains on the scales
用天平去稱崗陵小丘? and the hills in a balance?
13 ．誰能明白耶和華旨意, Who has understood the mind of the Lord,
作祂的謀士去指點祂? or instructed him as his counselor?
14 耶和華請教誰得開示, Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him,
誰能以正道教耶和華? and who taught him the right way?
誰向耶和華灌輸知識, Who was it that taught him knowledge
或者指示衪明理之路? or showed him the path of understanding?
15 萬國確如桶中一滴水, Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket;
又視作天平上的灰塵; they are regarded as dust on the scales;
祂稱海島如細粒微塵. he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
16 黎巴嫩木不足祭壇火, Lebanon is not sufficent for altar fires,
林中鳥獸不夠作燔祭. nor its animals enough for burnt offerings.
17 在衪面前萬國如無物, Before him all the nations are as nothing;
視作草芥一文都不值. they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.
18 你們把誰跟神比? To whom, then, will you compare God?
拿何偶像跟衪比? what image will you compare him to?
19 偶像都是匠人鑄, As for an idol, a craftsman casts it,
金匠用金全包裹, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold
並加銀鏈作裝飾. and fashions silver chains for it.
20 人窮獻不起此物, A man too poor to present such an offering
改選不腐木材代. selects wood that will not rot.
覓得巧匠來作工, He looks for a skilled craftsman
立起偶像不動搖. to set up an idol that will not topple.
21 你們不知道嗎? Do you not know?
你們沒聽過嗎? Have you not heard?
不是從起初就告訴過你們嗎? Has it not been told you from the beginning?
自大地建立你們還不明白嗎? Have you not understood since the earth was found?
22 神坐地球大圈之上, He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
地上居民好像蚱蜢. and its people are like grasshoppers.
衪鋪開諸天如蒼穹, He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
展開天如人居帳棚. and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
23 祂使貴族官宦消失, He brings princes to naught
地上統治者無影蹤. and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
他們剛剛種植, No sooner are they planted,
24 剛剛播種, no sooner are they sown,
剛剛扎根, no sooner do they take root in the ground,
衪一吹氣, 立即枯萎, than he blows on them and they wither,
旋風吹來, 散如碎草. and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
25 聖者乃問: "你們拿誰跟我比? "To whom will you compare me?
誰能與我相等?" Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.
26 你們要舉目望天: Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
是那位創造萬象?" Who created all these?
衪把星宿一一帶出, He who brings out the starry host one by one,
還能個個直呼其名. and calls them each by name.
因為衪的大能大力, Because of the great power and mighty strength,
沒有一個無故失落. not one of them is missing.
II. 勵民信靠神(40:27-31):
27 雅各啊! 你為何如此說, Why do you say, O Jacob,
以色列啊! 你為何要抱怨: and complain, O Isreal,
"耶和華為何隱藏我的道路, "My way is hidden from the Lord;
我的神為何忽視我的目標"? my cause is disregarded by my God"?
28 你們不知道嗎? Do you not know?
你們沒聽過嗎? are you not heard?
耶和華是永在的神, The Lord is the everlasting God,
地極的創造主. the Creator of the ends of the earth.
衪不疲乏也不困倦, He will not grow tired or weary,
衪的智慧難以測度. and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 衪賜力量給疲乏的, He gives strength to the weary
衪賜能力給軟弱的. and increases the power of the weak.
30 年青的人也會疲乏, Even youths grow tired and weary,
壯年的人也會跌倒; and young men stumble and fall;
31 但仰望耶和華的人, but those who hope in the Lord
必會重新得力, will renew their strength.
如鷹展翅上騰, They will soar on wings like eagle;
奔跑卻不困倦, they will run and not grow weary,
行走卻不疲乏. they will walk and not faint.
III. 主掌管歷史(41:1-42:9):
(I) 東方興一人(41:1-7):
1 "島民啊! 你們在我面前要肅靜, "Be silent before me, you islanders!
讓列國都重新得力! let the nations renew their strength!
讓他們前來好說話; Let them come forward and speak;
大家在審判地集合. let us meet together at the place of judgment.
2 "誰從東方興起一人. "Who has stirred up one from the east,
以公義召他來服事? calling him in righteousness to his service?
衪把列國都交給他, he hands nations over to him
在他面前制伏眾王. and subdues kings before him.
以刀劍誅殺成塵土, He turns them to dust with his sword,
在弓下如風中糠秕. to windblown chaff with his bow.
3 衪追逐他們不傷害, He pursues them and moves on unscathed,
雙腳奔走陌生的路 by a path his feet have not traveled before.
4 誰作成這事續流傳, Who has done this and carried it through,
太初就向世代呼召? calling forth the generation from the beginning?
我耶和華, I, the Lord - with the first of them
是首先的, 也是末後的; and with the last -
我就是耶和華." I am he."
5 眾島目睹心生敬畏, The islands have seen it and fear;
地極震驚不住戰抖. the ends of the earth tremble.
他們聚集奔向前來; They approach and come forward;
6 彼此攜手互相幫助, each helps the other
並對兄弟說: "要剛強!" and says to his brother, "Be strong!"
7 巧匠鼓勵金工, The craftsman encourages the goldsmith,
用鎚把工打平, and he who smooths with the hammer
以砧把工釘緊. spurs on him who strikes the anvil.
並對銲工說: "銲得好!" He says of the welding, "It is good."
又把偶像釘穩不搖動. He nails down the idol so it will not topple.
(II) 神扶助子民(41:8-20):
8 "但你們以色列, 我的僕人, "But you, O Isreal, my servant,
雅各, 我揀選的, Jacob, whom I have choosen,
我友亞伯拉罕的後裔啊! you descendants of Abraham my friend.
9 你們是我從極地領來的, I took you from the ends of the earth,
從極遠的角落呼召來的, from its farthest conners I called you.
我說: '你們是我的僕人.' I said, 'You are my servant;'
我揀選你們, 沒有棄絕你們. I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
10 所以不要懼怕, 因我與你同在; So do not fear, for I am with you;
也不要驚惶, 因我是你們的神. do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
我必使你們剛強, 幫助你們; I will strengthen you and help you;
我必用公義的右手扶持你們. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
11 "所有對你發怒的, "All who rage against you
必抱愧蒙羞; will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
凡反對你的, those who oppose you
必消失滅亡. will be as nothing and perish.
12 你雖搜索你的敵人, Though you search for your enemies,
卻找不著. you will not find then.
與你交戰的, Those who wage war against you
消失無蹤. will be as nothing at all.
13 因我是耶和華你們的神, For I am the lord, your God,
緊握你們的右手, who takes hold of your right hand
並對你們說: '不要懼怕; and says to you, Do not fear;
我會幫助你們!' I will help you!
14 小蟲雅各啊! 小子以色列啊! Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob,
不要懼怕! O little Isreal,
因我要親自幫助你們." for myself will help you,"
這是耶和華, 你們的救贖主, declares the Lord,
以色列聖者說的. your redeemer, the Holy One of Isreal;
15 看哪! 我要使你們成為 See, I will make you into a threshing sledge,
嶄新鋒利多齒打穀機, new and sharp, with many teeth.
把高山峻嶺打得粉 You will thresh the mountains and crush them,
把崗陵山丘打成糠秕. and reduce the hills to chaff.
16 微風把碎渣糠秕揚起, You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up,
強風把碎渣糠秕吹走. and a gale will blow them away.
你們要為耶和華歡欣, But you will rejoice in the Lord
要因以色列聖者誇耀. and glory in the Holy One of Isreal.
17 "貧苦窮困的人尋求水, "The poor and needy search for water,
卻是滴水難找; but there is none;
他們舌乾口渴. their tongus are parched with thirst.
我耶和華應允他們, But I the Lord will answer them;
我以色列的神不離棄他們. I, the God of Isreal, will not forsake them.
18 我必使江河流過荒涼高地, I w ill make rivers flow on barren heights,
泉水湧流山谷之間. and springs within the valleys.
我必使荒漠變水塘, I will turn the desert into pools of water,
乾地湧泉源. and the parched ground into springs.
19 我要在曠野廣植香柏樹、 I will put in the desert
皂莢木、石榴樹和橄欖 the cedar and acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
我也要在荒野同時種植 I will set pines in the wasteland,
松樹、杉樹和黃楊樹. the fir and the cypress together,
20 好叫人看見就知道, so that people may see and know,
稍用心思考就明白, may consider and understand,
這是耶和華親手做的, that the hand of the Lord has done this,
也是以色列聖者造的. that the Holy One of Isreal has created it.
(III) 假神不可靠(41:21-29):
21 耶和華說: "呈上你們的案子吧!" "Present your case," says the Lord.
雅各的王說; "提出你們的辯詞吧!" "Set forth your arguments," says Jacob's King.
22 帶上你們的偶像 Bring in your idols to tell us
說明怎麼一回事. what is going to happen.
以前的事又如何, Tell us what the former things were,
好讓我們去研判, so that we may consider them
找出本案的結果. and know their final outcome.
宣告我們未來事, Or declare to us the things to come,
23 將來情況會如何, tell us what the future holds,
才知你們是邪神. so we may know that you are gods.
不管好壞做些事, Do something, whether good or bad,
讓我們驚訝害怕. so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.
24 然而你們虛又無, But you are less than nothing
所行諸事無價值, and your works are utterly worthless;
趨附你的令人憎. he who chooses you is detestable.
25 我在東方興一人卜 I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes -
日出之地呼我名. one from the rising sun who calls on my name.
踐踏君王如灰泥, He treads on rulers as if they were mortar,
又如陶匠踩黏土. as if he were a potter treading the clay.
26 誰在起初說此事, 使我們都知道? Who told of this from the beginnig, so we could know,
誰在先前道這椿, 使我們知他對? or beforehand, so we could say, 'He was right'?
無人說此事; 也無人道這椿. No one told of this; no one foretold it,
無人從你那裏聽見任何話. no one heard any words from you.
27 我首先告訴錫安: '看哪, 他們在這裏!' I was the first to tell Zion, 'Look, here they are!'
我要遣使者帶給耶路撒冷好信息. I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good things.
我察看卻無一人, I look but there is no one -
無人能出謀獻策, no one among them to give counsel,
無人能夠答我問. no one to give answer when I ask them.
29 看哪, 他們全是假的! See, they are all false!
他們所作都是空, Their deeds amount to nothing;
偶像都虛空如風. their images are but wind and confusion.
(IV) 神的忠心僕(42:1-9):
1 看哪! 這是我支持揀選的僕人, "Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
我的心喜悅他; my chosen one in whom I delight;
我的靈澆灌他, I will put my spirit on him
他把公理帶給列國. and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 他不會在街頭 He will not shout or cry out,
大聲喊叫呼求. or raise his voice in the streets.
3 壓傷的蘆葦, 他不折斷; A bruised reed he will not break,
將熄的燈火, 他不吹滅. and a smothering wick he will not snuff out.
他真誠傳揚公理; In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 他不灰心不喪膽; he will not falter or be discourged
直至他在地上建立公理. till he establishes justice on earth.
島民全都企盼他的律法." In his law the islands will put their hope."
5 耶和華神這樣說: 衪 This is what God the Lord says -
創造諸天, 展開穹蒼, he who created the heavens and stretched them out,
鋪開大地, 展示物產; who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it,
賜氣息給地上的人, who gives breath to its people,
賜生命給行走的人; and life to those who walk on it:
6 "我耶和華以公義呼召你, I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
我要緊握你的手, I will take hold of your hand.
也要好好保守你, I will keep you and will make you
以作人民立的約, to be a covenant for the people
作為外邦人之光. and a light for the Gentiles,
7 打開盲人的眼目, to open eyes that are blind,
釋放獄中被擄人, to free captives from prison
放出黑牢被囚人. and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8 "我是耶和華, 那是我的名! "I am the Lord, that is my name!
我不會把榮耀給他人, I will not give my glory to another
更不會把讚美給偶像. or my praise to idols.
9 看哪! 先前的事已發生, See, the former things have taken place,
我要宣示新的事; and new things I declare;
新事還沒發生前, before they spring into being,
我先說給你們聽." I announce them to you."
IV. 讚美與責備(42:10-25):
(I) 頌讚神之歌(42:10-17):
10 航海的和海中所有的, Sing to the Lord a new song,
眾海島和島上的居民, his praise from the ends of the earth,
你們要向耶和華唱新歌, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
要從地極讚美祂! you islands, and all who live in them.
11 讓曠野和其中城邑揚聲, Let the desert and its towns raise their voice;
居住其中的基達人歡呼 let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
讓西拉居民歡唱, Let the people of Sela sing for joy;
聚集在山頂吶喊. let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 讓他們把榮耀歸給耶和華, Let them give glory to the Lord
在眾海島宣揚對祂的頌讚. and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13 耶和華像戰士出征, The Lord will march out like a mighty man,
又像勇士滿腔熱血; like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
齊聲發出戰場吶喊, with a shout he will raise the battle cry
豪氣干雲戰勝敵人. and will triumph over his enemies.
14 "長久以來我默無言, "For a long time I have kept silent,
沉默不語克制自己. I have been quiet and held myself back.
如今我如生產婦人, But now, like a woman in childbirth,
氣急喘息痛苦喊叫. I cry out, I gasp and pant.
15 我使大山小邱荒涼, I will lay waste the mountains and hills
青菜蔬果枯乾凋萎; and dry up all their vegetation;
河流成島水塘乾涸. I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools.
16 我必領盲人走新路, I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
帶他們行不熟道路; along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
在他們面前暗變光, I will turn the darkness into light before them
崎嶇的道路成坦途. and make the rough places smooth.
這是我要成就的事; These are the things I will do;
我絕不會離棄他們. I will not forsake them.
17 至那些信靠偶像的, But those who trust in idols,
若對偶像說: '你們是我們的神.' who says to images, 'You are our gods,'
定必逐出羞愧萬分." will be turned back in utter shame."
(II) 責愚昧無知(42:18-25):
18 "聾子啊, 聽著! "Hear, you deaf;
瞎子啊, 看吧! look, you blind, and see!
19 誰比我的僕人眼瞎? Who is blind but servant,
誰比我的使者耳聾? and deaf like the messenger I send?
誰像與我立過約的眼瞎? Who is blind like the one committed to me,
誰像耶和華的僕人眼瞎? blind like the servant of the Lord?
20 你們見過萬事而不留心, You have seen many things, but have paid no attention;
你們耳朵張開而聽不見." your ears are open, but you hear nothing."
21 耶和華衷心喜悅公義, It pleased the Lord for the sake of his righteousness
盡力使律法至大至榮. to make his law great and glorious.
22 而這民受盡掠奪洗劫, But this is a people plundered and looted,
陷坑中關入黑暗牢籠. all of them trapped in pits or hidden away to prisons.
受掠奪無人救, They have become plunder, with no one to rescue them;
而且成為擄物, they have been made loot,
無人說: "把他們送回去." with no more to say, "Send them back."
23 你們之中誰會傾聽, Which of you will listen to this
從今以後特別留心? or pay close attention in time to come?
24 誰使雅各成擄物, Who handed Jacob over to become loot,
把以色列交強盜? and Isreal to the plunderers?
豈不是我們得罪的耶和華? Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned?
因他們不遵行衪的道, For they would not follow his ways;
也沒有遵從衪的律法. they did not obey his law.
25 故衪向他們傾倒烈怒, So he poured out on them his burning anger,
使他們陷入慘酷戰爭. the violence of war.
烈火燒身不自知, It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand;
身將燒滅不在乎. it consumed them, but they did not take into heart.
V. 更新以色列(43:1-44:5):
(I) 眷顧選民(43:1-13):
1 雅各啊! 那創造你的耶和華, But now, this is what the Lord says -
以色列啊! 那塑造你的主, he who created you, O Jacob,
現在這樣說: he who formed you, O Isreal:
"不要懼怕, 因我已救贖了你, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
我按名呼召你, 你是屬我的. I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 你水中經過, When you pass through the waters,
我與你同在; I will be with you;
你渡江過河, and when you pass through the rivers,
川流不淹你. they will not sweep over you.
你火中走過, When you walk through the fire,
火不會燒你, you will not be burned,
火燄不上身. the flame will not set you ablaze.
3 因為我是耶和華你的神, For I am the Lord, your God,
以色列的聖者你的救主; the Holy One of Isreal, your Savior;
我把你的贖金付給埃及, I gave Egypt for your ransom,
古實和示巴作你的替身. Cush and Seba in your stead.
4 因你在我眼中至為寶 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
而且我深深愛你. and because I love you,
我會用人交換你, I will give men in exchange for you,
交換你寶貴生命. and people in exchange for your life.
5 不要懼怕, 因我與你同在, Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
我必把你的兒女從東方領回, I will bring your children from the east
從西方招聚你們. and gather you from the west.
6 我會向北方說: "交出他們!" I will say to the north, 'Give them up!'
也會向南方說:"不要拘留他們!" and to the south, 'Do not hold them back!'
我要把我的眾子從遠方帶回, Bring my sons from afar
也要把我的女兒從地極領回; and my daughters from the ends of the earth -
7 每個都是按我名呼召的, everyone who is called by my name,
也是我的榮耀 whom I created for my glory,
創造和塑造作成的." whom I formed and made."
8 你要把那些有眼不能見. Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,
有耳不能聽的人領出來. who have ears but are deaf.
9 列國聚集, 萬族集合; All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble.
他們中誰能將此說明, Which of them foretold this
並把先前的事向我們宣示? and proclaimed to us the former things?
讓他們推出見證人證明自己正確, Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
使聽見的都說: "那是真的." so that others may hear and say, "It is true."
10 "你們就是我的見證," 耶和華說, "You are my witnesses," declares the Lord,
"也是我揀選的僕人, "and my servant whom I have chosen,
因此你們會知道、相信和明白, so that you may know and believe me
我就是耶和華. and understand that I am he.
在我以前沒有真神, Before me no god was formed,
在我以後也必沒有. nor will there be one after me.
11 唯有我是耶和華, I, even I, am the Lord,
除我以外別無救主. and apart from me there is no savior.
12 我曾顯示、拯救及宣示: I have revealed and saved and proclaimed -
我絕不是你們中間的外邦邪神. I am not some foreign god among you.
你們是我的見證人." 耶和華說, You are my witnesses," declares the Lord,
"我是神, "that I am God.
13 自古以來我就是神. Yes, and from ancient days I am he.
無人能從我手中救出, No one can deliver out of my hand.
我行事, 誰能攔阻?" When I act, who can reverse it?"
(II) 巴比倫亡(43:14-18):
14 耶和華你們的救贖主, This is what the Lord says -
以色列的聖者這樣說: your Redeemer, the Holy one of Isreal:
"為了你們, 我要遣使到巴比倫去, "For your sake I will send to Babylon
使所有的巴比倫人成為難民, and bring down to fugitives all the Bebylonians,
搭乘他們引以為倣的船逃難. in the ships in which they took pride.
15 我是耶和華你們的聖者, I am the Lord, your Holy One,
以色列的創造主, 你們的王. " Isreal's Creator, Your King."
16 耶和華這樣說: This is what the Lord says -
"耶和華在大海開道, "he who made a way through the sea,
在大河開路, a path through the mighty waters,
17 把戰車壯馬, who drew out the chariots and horses,
大軍援兵集合一處, the army and reinforcements together,
全都倒下不再起來, and they lay there, never to rise again,
完全消滅, 如惡火熄滅. extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
18 勿緬懷往事, Forget the former things;
不思念古時." do not dwell on the past."
(III) 神作新事(43:19-24):
19 "看哪, 我在作新事! "See, I am doing a new thing!
現都呈現, 難道你沒看見嗎? Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
我在沙漠開大路, I am making a way in the desert
又在荒野開江河. and streams in the wasteland.
20 野地走獸尊崇我, The wild animals honor me,
野狗鷂鷹仰望我; the jackals and the owls,
因我給沙漠供水, because I provide water in the desert
在荒野中開江河, and streams in the wasteland,
讓我選民有水喝, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21 他們是我親手造, the people I formed for myself
都會歌頌讚揚我." that they may proclaim my praise."
22 "雅各啊! 你還沒向我呼求, "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob,
"以色列啊! 你還沒因我厭倦自己. you have not wearied yourself for me, O Isreal.
23 你沒有獻羊給我作燔祭, You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings,
也沒有獻上供物尊崇我. nor honored me with your sacrifices.
我沒因供物加重你負擔, I have not burdened you with grain offerings
也沒有因乳香使你厭煩. nor wearied you with demands for incense.
24 你沒用銀子給我買香蒲, You have not bought any fragrant calamus for me,
又沒供物脂油使我飽足. or lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices.
然而, 你的罪惡使我耽心, But you have burdened me with you sins
你的悖逆使我厭煩. and wearied me with your offenses.
