As the deer pants for streams of water,
                        如鹿切慕溪水.                          so my soul pants for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
My tears have been my food day and night,
                      "你的神在那裏呢?"                      while men say to me all day long,
                      使我晝夜以淚當飯.                                  "Where is your God?"

4           從前我隨眾人同去,          These things I remember as I pour out my soul;
            帶隊進入神的殿中,                     how I used to go with the multitude,
           大家歡呼謝恩守節;                leading the procession to the house of God,
           言念此事心中戚然. with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng.

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
                       為何在我裏面不安?                     Why so disturbed within me?
                    當仰望神, 我要讚美祂,                           put your hope in God,
                      衪是我的救主我的神.       for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

6                  我的心裏真憂煩;                        My soul is downcast within me;
                    所以我從約旦地, therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan,
               米薩山的黑門嶺思念你.            the heights of Hermon - from Mount Mizar.
7            在你隆隆瀑聲中深淵迴響;     Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
              你掀起猛浪洪濤橫掃我身.     all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

By day the Lord directs his love,
                     黑夜, 祂美妙歌聲陪伴我,                    at night his song is with me -
                     我要向賜我生命的神禱告.                  a prayer to the God of my life.

I say to God my Rock,
                         "你為甚麼忘記我呢?                   "Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
                           使我四處奔走哀號?"                     oppressed by the enemy?"
My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me,
                           "你的神在那裏呢?"                       saying to me all day long,
"Where is your God?"

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
                          祂是我的救主我的神. for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Vindicate me, O God,
                 向不敬虔的國為我申辯;         and plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
            也求你救我脫離詭詐邪惡的人.          rescue me from deceitful and wicked men.
You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
                   使我四處奔走哀號?                                oppresssed by the enemy?
Send forth your light and your truth,
                       好引導帶領我                                           let them guide me;
                         到你的聖山,                         let them bring me to your holy mountain,
                         到你的居所.                                     to the place where you dwell.
Then will I go to the altars of God,
               走到使我歡欣喜樂的神那裏;                           to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the harp,
O God, my God.

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
                  當仰望神, 我要讚美祂,                             Put your hope in God,
                   祂是我的救主我的神.         for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

                                        44. 神施拯救

                                                      可拉後裔的訓悔詩, 交詩班長

1                神啊! 我們都親耳聽見了;                 We have heard with our ears, O God;
                   我們列祖也告訴過我們,     our fathers have told us what you did in their days,
              你古時在他們的日子所行的事.                             in days long ago.
With your hand you drove out the nations
                     悉心栽培我們的列祖;                            and planted our fathers;
                     全力粉碎外邦 的民族,                          you crushed the peoples
                      使我們列祖興隆昌盛.                      and made our fathers flourish.
It was not by their sword that they won the land,
                   也不是靠自己的膀臂得勝;              nor did their arm bring them victory;
                   全靠你的右手和你的膀臂,                 it was your right hand, your arm,
                   以及你臉上發出來的亮光,                        and the light of your face,
                   因為你憐憫恩慈去愛他們.                               for you loved them.

You are my king and my God,
                        你定命使雅各得勝.                   who decrees victorious for Jacob.
5                      靠你我們擊退敵人,             Through you we push back our enemies;
                        靠你的名踐踏仇敵.              through your name we trample our foes.
I do not trust in my bow,
                        刀也不能使我得勝;                 my sword does not bring me victory;
But you give us victory over our enemies,
                        使我們的仇敵羞愧.                    you put our adversaries to shame.
In God we make our boast all day long,
                        還要永遠讚美你名.                 and we will praise your name forever.

9                  但如今你棄絕和屈辱我們,       But now you have rejected and humbled us;
                    不再和我們大軍一同出征.            you no longer go out with our armies.
You made us retreat before the enemy,
                        讓仇敵任意掠奪我們.            and our adversaries have plundered us.
You gave us up to be devoured like sheep
                       並把我們分散在列國中.         and have scattered us among the nations.
You sold your people for a pittance,
                       可是賤賣他們毫無所得.                   gaining nothing from their sale.

You have made us a reproach to our neighbors,
                        又被四圍的人輕視嘲笑.        the scorn and derision of those around us.
14                     更使我們成列國的笑柄,   You have made us a byword among the nations;
                         民眾都向我們搖頭嘆息.            the peoples shake their heads at us.
My disgrace is before me all day long,
                         我的臉全都被羞愧遮蓋.             and my face is covered with shame
16                     都因受到斥責者的辱罵,   at the taunts of those who reproach and vile me.
                         和仇敵對我報復的緣故.    because of the enemy, who is bent on revenge.

All this happened to us,
                             我們卻沒有忘記你,             though we had not forgotten you
                             也沒有違背你的約.                or been false to your covenant.
18                         我們的心沒有倒退,                Our hearts had not turned back;
                             我們的腳沒有偏離.         our feet had not strayed from your path.
But you crushed us and made us a haunt for jackals
              讓死亡的陰影深深籠罩我們.             and covered us over with deep darkness.

If we had forgotten the name of our God
                             或張開手投向別的神.          or spread out hands to a foreign god.
Would not God have discovered it,
                             祂豈不會發現這事嗎?        since he knows the secret of the heart?
22                       為你我們終日面對死亡,    Yet for your sake we face death all day long;
                           人視我們如同待宰的羊.   we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.

Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep?
Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.
Why do you hide your face?
                                忘了我們的苦難壓迫?           and forget our misery and oppression?
25                              我們倒在塵土之上,                 We are brought down to the dust;
                                 身體緊緊貼在地面.                     our bodies cling to the ground.
26                             求你起來救助我們,                               Rise up and help us;
                                 以你慈愛救贖我們!            redeem us because of your unfailing love.

It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth.

                    你的讚美直到地極;           your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
                    你的右手充滿公義.             your right hand is filled with righteousness.
Mount Zion rejoices
                    錫安聖山歡欣鼓舞,                       the villages of Judah are glad
                    猶大城邑歡喜快樂.                          because of your judgments.

Walk about Zion go around her,
13               細看城牆, 巡視碉堡,         consider well her ramparts, view her citadels,
                  才能講給後代的人聽.       that you may tell of them to the next generation.

14          因這神是我們永永遠遠的神,           For this God is our God for ever and ever;
              祂必施恩帶領我們直到末了.               he will be our guide even to the end.

                                          49. 富貴榮華

                                                             可拉後裔的詩, 交詩班長

1-2           萬民哪! 你們要聽這話;                        Hear this, all you peoples;
                      世上的居民哪!                        listen, all who live in this world,
                      不分貴賤貧富                                      bot,h low and high,
                      你們全都要聽.                                     rich and poor alike.
3              我的口要說出智慧言語,               My mouth will speak words of wisdom;
                我的心要道出通達道理.   the utterance from my heart will give understanding.
4                   我要側耳聽箴言,                           I will turn my ear to a proverb;
                     彈琴奏樂解謎語.                   with the harp I will expound my riddle.

Why should I fear when evil days come,
                    奸詐惡徒圍繞著我;                 when wicked deceivers surround me -
                    他們杖財勢誇富有,                       those who trust in their wealth
                    我何必懼怕他們呢?                      and boast of their great riches?
No man can redeem the life of another
                   或替人把贖價交給神;                    or give to God a ransome for him -
8                  因生命贖價非常昂貴,                      the ransome for a life is costly,
                   任何人都永遠付不清.                         no payment is ever enough -
9                 而且他必須永活不朽,                        that he should live on forever
                   才可以實際上做得到.                                  and not see decay.

10              大家都看見智慧人會死,                 For all can see that wise men die;
                  愚頑人和無知人也會亡;           the foolish and the senseless alike perish
                  且他們把財富留給別人.                  and leave their wealth to others.
Their tombs will remain their houses forever,
                  以己墓作自己永遠房舍            , their dwellings for endless generations,
                  作他們萬代無窮的居所.       though they had named lands after themselves.
12              惜人即使富有也難長久,         But man, despite his riches, does not endure;
                  跟牲畜一樣全都會死亡.                      he is like the beasts that perish.

This is the fate of those who trust in themselves,
細拉 and of their followers, who approve their sayings. Selah
Like sheep they are destined for the grave,
      而且死亡在不斷餵養他們.                          and death will feed on them.
      正直的人早晨來管理他們;          The upright will rule over them in the morning;
      他們的形體遠離他們豪宅,                     their forms will decay in the grave,
      並且在墓中漸漸腐朽消滅.                       far from their princely mansions.
15     但神必救我脫離陰間,                 But God will redeem my life from the grave;
         祂必接我到祂那裏去.          細拉         he will surely take me to himself.          Selah

Do not be overawed when a man grows rich,
                            不必驚訝.                when the splendor of his house increases;
17               因他死時甚麼都帶不走,    for he will take nothing with him when he dies,
                   他的榮華也不能隨他去.           his splendor will not descend with him.
Though while he lived he counted himself blessed -
                  興旺昌盛時, 人人誇讚.             and men praise you when you prosper -
19              他要回到歷代列祖那裏,           he will join the generation of his fathers,
                  永遠都看不見生命的光.                 who will never see the light of life.

A man who has riches without understanding
                    跟會死亡的牲畜一樣. is like the beasts that perish.

The Mighty One, God, the Lord,
               從日出之地到日落之處,                 speaks and summons the earth
                     發言呼召天下.       from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.
From Zion, perfect in beauty,
                      神大發榮光.                                        God shines forth.
3          我們的神來, 不是靜默無聲;              Our God comes and will not be silent;
                噬人的烈火在祂前面,                            a fire devours before him,
                怒吼的暴風環祂四週.                      and around him a tempest rages.
He summons the heavens above,
                   要審判祂的子民:                and the earth, that he may judge his people:
5         "用祭物與我立約的聖民哪!                  "Gather to me my consecrated ones,
                 都到我這裏來聚集."               who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
And the heavens proclaim his righteousness,
細拉                for God himself is judge.                Selah

Hear, O my people, and I will speak,
O Isreal, and I will testify against you:
                我是神, 是你們的神!                                  I am God, your God.
I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices
                或常擺我面前的燔祭                                or your burnt offerings,
                毫無理由去責備你們.                             which are ever before me.
I have no need of a bull from your stall
             也不要你們羊圈中的山羊.                          or of goats from your pens,
10           因樹林中的百獸是我的,                   for every animal of the forest is mine,
               千山上的牲畜也是我的.                      and the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird in the mountains,
                 野地的走獸也都屬我.                  and the creatures of the field are mine.
If I were hungry I would not tell you,
          因世界和其中的一切都是我的.            for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Do I eat the flesh of bulls
                    和喝山羊的血呢?                               or drink the blood of goats?
Sacrifice thank offerings to God,
                 向至高者還你們的願.                          fufill your vows to the Most High,
15             在患難之日要呼求我,                      and call upon me in the day of trouble;
                    我就會拯救你們;                                          I will deliver you,
                    你們也要尊崇我."                                     and you will honor me."

But to the wicked, God says:
                 "你們何權引我律例,              "What right have you to recite my laws
                  還信口提我的約呢?                    or take my covenant on your lips?
You hate my instruction
                  把我的話拋諸腦後.                        and cast my words behind you.
18           你們見盜賊就樂與同夥,              When you see a thief, you join with him;
               遇上了淫棍就同流合污.                you throw in your lot with adulterers.
19                  你們口出惡言,                              you use your mouth for evil
                     並且舌說謊話.                         and harness your tongue to deceit.
You speak continually against your brother
              甚至誣衊你們親娘的兒子.                  and slander your own mother's son.
21          你們作這些事我沉默不語;         These things you have done and I kept silent;
              你們就以為我跟你們一樣.                 you thought I was altogehter like you.
                  其實我要責備你們,                                    But I will rebuke you
                  更要當面指責你們.                              and accuse you to your face.

Consider this, you who forget God,
              則我把你們撕碎無人來救.       or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue.
He who sacrifice thank offerings honors me,
                 並且真心預備行正路的,                            and he prepares the way
                 我就把神的救恩賜給他."           so that I may show him the salvation of God."
