31. 困中求神
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 耶和華啊! 我投靠你. In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
求你使我永不羞愧, let me never be put to shame;
以你的公義拯救我. deliver me in your righteousness.
2 求你側耳垂聽快救我; Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue;
也求你作我避難磬石, be my rock of refuge,
以及救我的堅固堡壘. strong forrtess to save me.
3 因為你是我的磬石我的堡壘; Since you are my rock and my fortress
求你為你的名帶領我引導我. for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
4 並救我脫離為我暗設的網羅, Free me from the trap that is set for me,
因為你是我最安全的避難所. for you are my refuge.
5 我要將我的靈魂交在你手中, Into your hands I commit my spirit;
耶和華信實的神啊! 求你救贖我, redeem me, O Lord, the God of truth.
6 我恨惡信奉敗壞偶像者, I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
因為我一心信靠耶和華. I trust in the Lord.
7 我為你的慈愛歡喜快樂, I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
因你看到我的艱困, for you saw my affliction
知道我的心中痛苦. and knew the anguish of my soul.
8 你沒有把我交在仇敵的手中, You have not handed me over to the enemy
反而使我的腳站在寬穩之地. but have set my feet in a spacious place.
9 耶和華啊! 求你憐憫我, Be merciful to me, O Lord,
因為我陷身患難之中; for I am in distress;
我的眼睛因愁煩昏花, my eyes grow weak with sorrow,
且我的身心滿是憂傷. my soul and my body with grief.
10 我的生命因愁苦耗盡, My life is consumed by anguish
歲月在呻吟之中消逝, and my years by groaning;
我的精力因困苦衰退, my strength fails because of my affliction,
我的身體也日益衰弱. and my bones grow weak.
11 因為我的仇敵中傷, Because of all my enemies,
我被左鄰右舍羞辱; I am the utter contempt of my neighbors;
我的朋友都害怕我, I am a dread to my friends -
在街上見我就走避. those who see me on the street flee from me.
12 我如死人被人遺忘, I am forgotten by them as though I were dead;
好像是打碎的陶器. I have become like a broken pottery.
13 很多毀謗在中傷我, For I hear the slander of many;
四周都充滿了恐怖; there is terror on every side;
他們同謀想攻擊我, they conspire against me
密謀要來取我的命. and plot to take my life.
14 耶和華啊! 但我還是信靠你, But I trust in you, O Lord;
所以我說: "你是我的神!" I say, "You are my God."
15 我的一生都交在你手中, My times are in your hands;
求你救我脫離我的仇敵 deliver me from my enemies
和全力拼命追趕我的人. and from those who pursue me.
16 求你的臉光照你的僕人, Let your face shine on your servant;
以你不變的慈愛拯救我. save me in your unfailing love.
17 耶和華啊! 求你勿使我羞愧, Let me not be put to shame, O Lord
因我曾向你呼求; for I have cried out to you;
求你使惡人羞愧, but let the wicked be put to shame
在陰間閉口無聲. and lie silent in the grave.
18 讓他們說謊的嘴失聲, Let their lying lips be silenced,
因為他們驕傲又輕浮, for with pride and contempt
說狂妄的話攻擊義人. they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
19 你為敬畏你的人積存的美善, How great is your goodness,
和為投靠你的人在世人面前 which you have stored up for those who fear you,
大公無私所施行的憐憫恩典, which you bestow in the sight of men
何其偉大豐盛! on those who take refuge in you.
20 你把他們藏在你面前的避難所, In the shelter of your presence you hide them
免得他們被人暗中算計; from the intrigues of men;
又在你的居所保護他們的安全, in your dwelling you keep them safe
免得他們受人口舌謾罵. from accusing tongues.
21 你們應當讚美耶和華! Praise be to the Lord,
因當我身陷圍困城中, for he showed his wonderful love to me
祂向我顯示奇妙慈愛. when I was in a besieged city.
22 我在警覺清醒時曾說: In my alarm I said,
"我在你的眼前被隔絕!" "I am cut off from your sight!"
然而當我呼叫求救時, Yet you heard my cry for mercy
你仍垂聽我憐憫呼求. when I called to you for help.
23 所有祂的聖民哪, Love the Lord,
都要敬愛耶和華! all his saints!
耶和華庇佑信實的人, The Lord preserves the faithful,
卻十足報應驕傲的人. but the proud he pays back in full.
24 所有仰望耶和華的人, Be strong and take heart,
你們都要剛強心堅固! all you who hope in the Lord.
32. 蒙赦喜樂
大衛的訓誨詩
1 過犯蒙赦免, 罪惡得遮蓋的人, Blessed is he
都是有福的! whose transgression are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
2 耶和華不算為有罪, Blessed is the man
心中沒有詭詐的人, whose sin the Lord does not count against him
也是有福的! and in whose spirit is no deceit.
3 我閉嘴不認罪的時侯, When I kept silent, my bones wasted away
就終日呻吟體力日衰. through my groaning all day long.
4 你的手日夜重壓我身, For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
使我的精力日益耗竭, my strength was sapped
如在盛夏酷熱中枯乾. 細拉 as in the heat of summer. Selah
5 我才向你承認我的罪, Then I acknowledged my sin to you
更進一步坦白我的惡; and did not cover up my iniquity.
並說: "我要向耶和華承認我的過犯." I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord."
你就赦免了我的罪惡. 細拉 and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah
6 因此, 凡敬虔的人, Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you
都應趁你還可尋找時向你禱告; while you may be found;
洪水泛濫時才不會淹到他那裏. surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.
7 你是我安全的藏身之處, You are my hiding place;
你必會保佑我脫離苦難, you will protect me from trouble
讓得救之歌四面圍繞我. 細拉 and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
8 我要教導指示你當行的路; I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
也要勸導你並密切察看你. I will counsel you and watch over you.
9 不可像無知的驢馬, Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding
定要嚼環轡頭勒住, but must be controlled by bit and bridle
否則就不會馴服你. or they will not come to you.
10 惡人定必多災多難; Many are the woes of the wicked,
但信靠耶和華的人, but the Lord's unfailing love
祂的慈愛必環繞他. surround the man who trusts in him.
11 義人哪, 你們要靠耶和華歡喜快樂! Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
所有心地正直的人哪, 你們都要歡唱! sing, all you who are upright in heart!
33. 神的權能
1 義人哪! 你們要向耶和華歡唱, Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
正直的人當讚美主. it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2 要彈琴讚美耶和華, Praise the Lord with the harp;
奏十弦琴去歌頌祂. make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 你們要向祂唱新歌, Sing to him a new song;
巧手彈琴大聲歡呼. play skillfully, and shout for joy.
4 因耶和華的言語正直, For the word of the Lord is right and true;
凡祂所作的盡都信實. he is faithful in all he does.
5 耶和華喜愛仁義公正, The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
全地都充滿祂的慈愛. the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6 諸天藉耶和華的道而造, By the word of the Lord were the heavens made,
眾星藉衪口中的氣而成. their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 祂把海水聚集缸中, He gathers the waters of the sea into jars
又把深洋儲入庫裏. he puts the deep into storehouse.
8 願全地敬畏耶和華, Let all the earth fear the Lord;
世上萬民都尊敬祂. let all the people of the world revere him.
9 因祂說有, 就有; For he spoke, and it came to be;
命立, 就立. he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 耶和華粉碎列國圖謀, The Lord foils the plans of the peoples;
消滅萬民歪念. he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 但耶和華籌劃永遠堅立, But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
祂心中的意念萬代長存. the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 尊奉耶和華為神的國是有福的; Blessed is the nations whose god is the Lord,
神揀選作產業的民也是有福的. the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 耶和華從天上垂看, From heavens the Lord looks down
看到世上的全人類. and sees all mankind;
14 祂從高天上的居所, from his dwelling place he watches
察看地上所有居民. all who live on earth -
15 祂造就所有人的心, he who forms the hearts of all,
關懷他們一切作為. who considers everything they do.
16 君王不能因兵多得勝, No king is saved by the size of his army;
勇士不能因力大得救. no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 想靠馬得救是枉然, A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
馬雖力大不能救人. despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 耶和華的眼目看顧敬畏祂的人 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
和仰望祂慈愛的人. on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 並救他們脫離死亡, to deliver them from death
使他們饑荒中存活. and keep them alive in famine.
20 我們在盼望中等候耶和華, We wait in hope for the Lord;
因祂是我們的幫助和盾牌. he is our help and our shield.
21 我們的心都因祂歡喜, In him our hearts rejoice,
因我們信靠祂的聖名. for we trust in his holy name.
22 耶和華啊! 我們仰望你, May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord,
求你向我們大施慈愛. even as we put our hope in you.
34. 敬神無缺
大衛的詩, 在亞比米勒面前裝瘋, 被逐出時所作
1 我要時時稱頌耶和華, I will extol the Lord at all times;
讚美衪的話常在我口. his praise will always be on my lips.
2 我的心要誇耀耶和華, My soul will boast in the Lord;
讓受苦的人聽見喜樂. let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
3 跟我一起榮耀耶和華, Glorify the Lord with me;
一同齊心高舉祂的名. let us exalt his name together.
4 我尋求耶和華, 祂都回應我; I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
並救我脫離一切恐懼. he delived me from all my fears.
5 凡仰望祂的就有光彩, Those who look to him are radiant;
他們的臉必永不蒙羞. their faces are never covered with shame.
6 困苦人呼求祂都垂聽, This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
並救他脫離一切苦難. he saved him out of all his troubles.
7 耶和華的使者, The angel of the Lord
在敬畏祂的人四圍紮營, encamps around those who fear him,
並且拯救他們. and he deliver them.
8 你們親嚐主恩便知祂美善, Taste and see that the Lord is good;
凡投靠衪的人都是有福的, blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 聖民哪! 你們要敬畏耶和華, Fear the Lord, you his saints,
因敬畏祂的一無所缺. for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 少壯獅子尚缺食挨餓; The lions may grow weak and hungry,
但是尋求耶和華的人, but those who seek the Lord
甚麼好處都一點不缺. lack no good things.
11 我的孩子啊, 來聽我說! Come, my children, listen to me;
我要教你們敬畏耶和華. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 誰喜愛生命長壽, Whoever of you loves life
又想盡情享美福; and desires to see many good days,
13 就要控制舌頭不出惡言, keep your tongue from evil
還要管住嘴唇不說謊話; and your lips from speaking lies.
14 更要離惡行善, Turn from evil and do good;
尋找追求和睦. seek peace and pursue it.
15 耶和華的眼目看顧義人, The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
祂的耳朵垂聽他們呼求. and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 耶和華的臉面敵對惡人, the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
使他們從世人記憶消失. to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 義人呼求耶和華就垂聽, The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
並救他們脫離一切苦難. he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 耶和華親近傷心的人, The Lord is close to the broken hearted
並拯救心靈破碎的人. and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 義人多苦難, A righteous man may have many troubles,
但耶和華救他脫離所有苦難. but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 保全他一身骨頭, he protects all his bones,
一根也不容折斷. not one of them will be broken.
21 惡人必被罪惡誅殺, Evil will slay the wicked;
義人仇敵必被定罪. the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 耶和華救贖祂的僕人, The Lord redeems his servants;
凡投靠祂的必不定罪. no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
35. 對付仇敵
大衛的詩
1 耶和華啊! Contend, O Lord,
與我相爭的, 求你與他們相爭; with those who contend with me;
與我爭戰的, 求你與他們爭戰. fight against those who fight against me.
2 求你拿起大盾小牌, Take up shield and buckler;
起來全力幫助我吧! arise and come to my aid.
3 揮矛舞槍擋住追我的仇敵; Brandish spear and javelin
求你對我靈說: against those who pursue me.
"我是你的救主." Say to my soul, "I am your salvation."
4 願那追索我命的, 蒙羞受辱; May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame;
願陰謀毀滅我的, 挫敗失望. may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.
5 願他們像風前糠秕, May they be like chalf before the wind,
被耶和華使者吹散. with the angel of the Lord driving them away.
6 願他們的道路又暗又滑, may their path be dark and slippy,
且被耶和華的使者追趕. with the angel of the Lord pursuing them.
7 因他們無故為我設暗網, Since they hid their net for me without cause
又無故挖掘深坑陷害我. and without cause dug pit for me,
8 願災難突降在他們身上, may ruin overtake them by surprise -
暗佈羅網纏住他們自己, may the net they hid entangle them,
並且掉入自掘坑中毀滅. may they fall into the pit to their ruin.
9 那時, 我的靈必因耶和華歡喜, Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord
為祂的救恩快樂. and delight in his salvation.
10 我全身都要高呼: My whole being will exclaim,
"耶和華啊! 誰能像你? "Who is like you, O Lord?
你從強權手中搶救困苦的人, You rescue the poor from those too strong for them,
從掠奪者手中拯救貧乏的人." the poor and needy from those who rob them."
11 無情的見證人起來, Ruthless witnesses come forward;
盤問我不知道的事. they question me on things I know nothing about.
12 他們以惡報善對我, They repay me evil for good
使我心靈孤獨絕望. and leave my soul forlorn.
13 當他們生病的時候, Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth
我卻穿上麻衣禁食; and humbled myself with fasting.
當我禱告沒回應時, When my prayers returned to me unanswered,
14 我奔走哀號, 待他們如友好兄弟; I went about mourning as though for my friend or brother.
我低頭悲痛, 如為自己母親哀哭. I bowed my head in grief as though weeping for my mother.
15 但我跌倒時, 他們竟聚首稱慶 But when I stumble, they gather in glee;
我沒防備時, 他們集結攻擊我. attackers gathered against me when I was unaware.
他們不斷地公然毀謗我. They slandered me without ceasing.
16 如邪惡之徒惡意嘲笑我, Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked;
還要對我恨得咬牙切齒. they gnashed their teeth at me.
17 主啊! 你袖手旁觀要到幾時呢? O Lord, how long will you look on?
求你救我性命不容他們殘害; Rescue my life from their ravages,
保住我寶貴的生命脫離獅口. my precious life from these lions.
18 我要在大會中感謝你, I will give thanks in the great assembly;
同時在眾民中讚美你. among throngs of people I will praise you.
19 勿讓無故與我為敵的, Let not those gloat over me
幸災樂禍; who are my enemies without cause;
勿讓那些無理恨我的, Let not those who hate me without reason
眨眼冷笑. maliciously wink the eye.
20 因他們不說和平的話, they do not speak peaceably,
反而捏造不實的罪狀, but devise false accusations
指控地上沉默寡言人. against those who live quietly in the land.
21 他們張開大口向我說: They gape at me and say, "Aha! Aha!
"阿哈! 阿哈! 我們親眼看見了!" with our own eyes we have seen it."
22 耶和華啊! 你已看見了, O Lord, you have seen this,
求你不要緘默; be not silent.
主啊! 求你不要遠離我. Do not be far from me, O Lord.
23 醒起為我辯屈, Awake, and rise to my defense!
我的神, 我的主啊! 求你為我爭鬥. Contend for me, my God and Lord.
24 耶和華我的神啊! Vindicate me in your righteousness,
求你按你的公義審判我, O Lord my God;
再也不容他們幸災樂禍; do not let them gloat over me.
25 也不容許他們心裏妄想: Do not let them think,
"阿哈! 這正如我們所願!" "Aha, just what we wanted!"
或說: "我們已把他吞滅了!" or say, " We have swallowed him up."
26 願那些幸災樂禍的, May all who gloat over my distress
羞愧困惑; be put to shame and confusion;
願那些妄自尊大的, may all who exalt themselves over me
披慚蒙羞 . be clothed with shame and disgrace.
27 願那些喜我雪冤的, May those who delight in my vindication
歡呼喜樂; shout for joy and gladness;
願他們常說: "當尊崇耶和華! may they always say, "The Lord be exalted,
耶和華喜悅祂的僕人蒙福." who delights in the well-being of his servant."
28 我的舌頭要述說你的公義, My tongue will speak of your righteousness
並且終日說出對你的讚美. and of your praise all day long.
36. 神的庇護
耶和華的僕人大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 一則有關惡人罪行的聖言, An oracle is within my heart
深藏我心: concerning the sinfulness of the wicked.
"他的眼中不怕神!" There is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 因在他眼中他自誇自媚, For in his own eyes he flatters himself
以致不察不恨自己罪惡. too much to detect or hate his sin.
3 口出言語盡是邪惡詭詐, The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful;
因此他不再是明智良善. he has ceased to be wise and to do good.
4 即使在床他也圖謀作惡, Even on his bed he plots evil;
執意行惡不再拒絕惡事. he commits hiimself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong.
5 "耶和華啊! 你的慈愛上及諸天, Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens,
你的信實達到穹蒼. your faithfulness to the skies.
6 你的公義好像高山, Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
你的公正如同深淵. your justice like the great deep.
耶和華啊! 無論人畜你都庇佑. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast.
7 你的慈愛何其寶貴! H ow priceless is your unfailing love!
世上的人無論貴賤 Both high and low among men
都投靠你翅膀蔭下 . find refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 他們都在你的殿中, They feast on the abundance of your house;
飽享盛宴喝樂河水. you give them drink from your river of delights.
9 因為生命的泉源在你那裏, For with you is the fountain of life;
在你的光中我們必得見光. in your light we see light.
10 求你續施慈愛給認識你的人, Continue your love to those who know you,
並常施公義給心地正直的人. your righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 不容驕傲人的腳踐踏我, May the foot of the proud not come against me,
也不讓惡人的手驅逐我, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 看看惡人怎樣跌倒, See how the evildoers lie fallen -
一旦倒下永不翻身! thrown down, not able to rise!
37. 心平靠神
大衛的詩
1 不要對作惡的人, 心懷不平, Do not fret because of evil men
不要為行錯的人, 心生嫉妒. or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 因他們像青草很快枯萎; for like the grass they will soon wither,
他們又像綠苗很快凋謝. like green plants they will soon die away.
3 要信靠耶和華行善, Trust in the Lord and do good;
安居地上享受糧草. dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 還要因耶和華喜樂, Delight yourself in the Lord
祂就賜你心中所求. and he will give you the desire of your heart.
5 把你的道路交託耶和華, Commit your way to the Lord;
並且信靠祂好讓衪成全; trust in him and he will do this:
6 你的公義有如破曉曙光, He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
你的公正有如日正當中. the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
7 在耶和華的面前當靜默, Be still before the Lord
同時還要耐心去等候祂; and wait patiently for him;
不要對凡事成功順利的 do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
和惡謀得逞的心懷不平. when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 你要抑制怒氣消除烈怒, Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
勿心懷不平免導致作惡. do not fret - it leads only to evil.
9 因為惡人定必都被剪除, For evil men will be cut off,
唯有盼望耶和華的, 才能承受地土. but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
10 再過不久惡人就不存在了, A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
即使你四處找尋也找不到. though you look for them, they will not be found.
11 溫柔謙卑的人必承受地土, But the meek will inherit the land
充份享受豐盛的平安喜樂. and enjoy great peace.
12 惡人密謀害義人, The wicked plot against the righteous
對他們咬牙切齒. and gnash their teeth to them;
13 但是主卻在譏笑惡人, but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
因祂知他們末日快到. for he knows their day is coming.
14 惡人的刀已出鞘, 箭也上弦; The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow
要射殺困苦貧窮的人, to bring down the poor and needy,
並殺害行為正直的人, to slay those whose ways are upright.
15 但他們的劍必刺己心, But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
且他們的弓必被折斷. and their bows will be broken.
16 義人擁有雖少, Better the little that the righteous have
勝過惡人富裕. than the wealth of many wicked;
17 因為耶和華扶持義人, for the power of the wicked will be broken,
惡人的膀臂必被折斷. but the Lord upholds the righteous.
18 耶和華眷顧完美人的日子, The days of the blameless are known to the Lord,
他們的產業必永存. and their inheritance will endure forever.
19 災難來臨時不受害, In times of disater they will not wither;
饑荒的日子得飽足. in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.
20 惡人卻要滅亡; But the wicked will perish:
耶和華的仇敵像田野之美, The Lord's enemies will be like the beauty of the fields,
很快消失, 如煙消逝. they will vanish - vanish like smoke.
21 惡人只借不還, The wicked borrow and do not repay,
義人慷慨施捨. but the righteous give generously;
22 耶和華祝福的, 必承地土; those the Lord blesses will inherit the land,
受到祂咒詛的, 必被剪除. but those he curses will be cut off.
23 耶和華若喜悅人的道路, If the Lord delights in a man's way,
祂定必使他的腳步穩定 . he makes his steps firm;
24 即使失腳也不仆倒; though he stumble, he will not fall,
因耶和華手扶持他. for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
25 從前我年幼現在年老; I was young and now I am old,
但我從未見義人被棄, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
他們子孫靠乞討度日. or their children begging bread.
26 他們常常慷慨施捨, They are always generous and lend freely;
他們子孫全都蒙福. their children will be blessed.
27 你們要離惡行善, Turn from evil and do good;
就可以永遠安居. then you will dwell in the land forever.
28 因耶和華喜愛公平, For the Lord loves the just
不會撇棄祂的聖民, and will not forsake his faithful ones.
他們永遠蒙神保佑; They will be protected forever,
但惡人後裔必剪除. but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;
29 義人定必承受地土, the righteous will inherit the land
而且永遠安居其上. and dwell in it forever.
30 義人的口說出智慧, The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom,
他的舌頭講說公平. and his tongue speaks what is just.
31 神的律法在他心裏, The law of his God is in his heart;
他的腳步不會滑倒. his feet do not slip.
32 惡人埋伏窺伺義人, The wicked lie in wait for the righteous,
想謀害他們的性命. seeking their very lives;
33 但耶和華不會把義人交惡人手中, but the Lord will not leave them in their power
在審判的時候也不會定他們的罪. or let them be condemned when brought to trial.
34 你要等候耶和華謹守祂的道, Wait for the Lord and keep his way.
祂定必高舉你使你承受地土; He will exalt you to inherit the land;
你必定會看見剪除惡人之日. when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
35 我見過粗暴的惡人亨通興順, I have seen a wicked and ruthless man
像青翠樹木在本土篷勃生長. flourishing like a green tree in its native soil,
36 但他們很快就消逝無蹤, but he soon passed away and was no more;

37 求你眷顧完美的人, 察看正直的人; Consider the blameless, observe the upright;
因為平和的人有前途. there is a future for the men of peace.
38 所有罪人定必被滅絕, But all sinners will be destroyed;
惡人的後裔終必剪除. the posterity of the wicked will be cut off.
39 義人的救恩來自耶和華, The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
患難時祂是他們的堡壘. he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
40 耶和華幫助他們解救他們; The Lord helps them and delivers them;
救他們脫離惡人拯救他們, he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
因為他們一心信賴投靠祂. because they take refuge in him.
38. 認罪祈求
大衛的記念詩
1 耶和華啊! 求你不要在忿怒中責備我, O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
也不要在烈怒中管教我, or discipline me in your wrath.
2 因你的箭射穿我身, For your arrows have pierced me,
你的手緊緊壓住我. and your hand has come down upon me.
3 因你的忿怒, 我體無完膚; Because of your wrath there is no health in my body;
因我的罪過, 我渾身不寧. my bones have no soundness because of my sin.
4 我的罪孽充滿全身, My guilt has overwhelmed me
如擔當不起的重擔. like a burden too heavy to bear.
5 因為我罪惡的愚眛, My wounds fester and are loathsome
我的傷口惡臭流膿. because of my sinful folly.
6 我傷痛得拳曲彎身, I am bowed down and brought very low;
終日四處奔走哀號. all day long I go about mourning.
7 我的背也灼痛難熬, My back is filled with searing pain;
我真的是體無完膚; there is no health in my body.
8 我疲弱被壓得粉碎; I am feeble and utterly crushed;
心中苦痛不住呻吟. I groan in anguish of heart.
9 主啊! 我的熱望明擺你面前, All my longings open before you, O Lord;
我的嘆息也不向你隱瞞. my signing is not hidden from you.
10 我的心猛跳我的力衰退; My heart pounds, my strength fails me;
連我眼中的光芒也消失. even the light has gone from my eyes.
11 我所有的良朋和密友, My friends and my companions avoid me
都因我的災難遠離我; because of my wounds;
我的鄰舍也躲得遠遠. my neighbors stay far away.
12 那索我命的佈下網羅, Those who seek my life set their traps,
那要害我的口出惡言; those who would harm me talk of my ruin;
他們終日在密謀害我. all day long they plot deception.
13 我如聾子不能聽見, I am like a deaf man, who cannot hear,
像個啞巴不能開口. like a mute, who cannot open his mouth;
14 我竟成聽不見的人, I have become like a man who does not hear,
一個有口莫辯的人. whose mouth can offer no reply.
15 耶和華啊! 我在等候你; I wait for you, O Lord;
主我的神啊! 你定要回應. you will answer, O Lord my God.
16 因此我說: "當我失足時, For I said, "Do not let them gloat
不要讓他們幸災樂禍. or exalt themselves over me
也不讓他們騎我頭上." when my foot slips."
17 因我快要跌倒, For I am about to fall,
令我痛苦萬分. and my pain is over with me.
18 我為我的罪孽懺悔, I confess my iniquity;
也為我的罪惡憂傷. I am troubled by my sin.
19 但我強悍的敵人眾多, Many are those who are my vigorous enemies;

求你快來助我! O Lord my Savior.
39. 唯一指望
大衛的詩, 交詩班長耶杜頓
1 我說: "我要謹慎我的言行, I said, "I will watch my ways
不讓我的舌頭犯罪; and keep my tongue from sin;
只要惡人還在我的面前, I will put a muzzle on my mouth
我就戴上嚼環約束我口." as long as the wicked are in my presence."
2 然而當我靜默無聲, But when I was silent and still,
甚至連好話也不說, not even saying anything good,
我的痛苦就在加劇. my anguish increased.
3 我的心在我裏面發熱, My heart grew hot within me,
我默想時火立即燒起, and as meditated, the fire burned;
那刻我就用舌頭說話: then I spoke with my tongue:
4 "耶和華啊! 求你指示我, "Show me, O Lord,
我的人生結局如何, my life's end
我的歲數又有多少? and the number of my days;
我的生命如何飛逝? let me know how fleeting is my life.
5 你使我的年日狹窄如掌闊; You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
一生年歲在你面前如無有. the span of my years is as nothing before you.
人的生命只不過是一口氣. 細拉 Each man's life is but a breath. Selah
6 人生來去匆促不過是幻影, Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro:
孜孜營營只是場空; He bustles about, but only in vain;
積聚財寶不知為誰. he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it.
7 主啊! 現我要追求甚麼呢? But now, Lord, what do I look for?
我一生的指望全都在你. My hope is in you.
8 求你救我脫離一切過犯, Save me from all my transgressions;
勿讓我受到愚人的羞辱. do not make me the scorn of fools.
9 因我的遭遇全是你安排, I was silent; I would not open my mouth,
我就默然無語不再開口. for you are the one who has done this.
10 求你除去降我身上災禍, Remove your scourge from me;
我承受不了你手的擊打. I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
11 你因人罪責罰管教他們, You rebuke and discipline men for their sin;
你像蛀蟲蛀盡他們財富; you consume their wealth like a moth -
人的生命只不過是口氣. 細拉 each man is but a breath. Selah
12 耶和華啊! 求你垂聽我的禱告, Hear my prayer, O Lord,
求你傾聽我的呼求; listen to my cry for help;

都是過路客旅全是寄居者. a stranger, as all my fathers were.

40. 必蒙憐愛
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 我安靜耐心等候耶和華, I waited patiently for the Lord;
祂就轉向垂聽我的呼求. he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 祂把我從濕滑的坑裏 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
和泥濘沼澤中拉起來, out of the mud and mire;
使我的腳站在磬石上, he set my feet on a rock
給我堅固的地方站立. and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 祂使我的口唱新歌, He put a new song on my mouth,
唱詩讚美我們的神; a hymn of praise to our God.
讓眾人看見都敬畏, Many will see and fear
因而去信靠耶和華. and put their trust in the Lord.
4 凡信靠耶和華, Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust,
不崇尚高傲, 遠離假神的人, who does not look to the pround,
都是有福的. to those who turn aside to false gods,
5 耶和華我的神啊, Many, O Lord my God,
你行奇事何其多! are the wonders you have done.
為我們籌劃的事真數算不清, The things you planned for us no one can recount to you,
若要一一說出真是多不勝數. were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.
6 你不喜悅祭物和供物, Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
但你開通了我的耳朵, but my ears you have pierced;
燔祭和贖罪祭也非你所欲. burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
7 那時我說: "看哪, 我來了! Then I said, "Here I am, I have come -
經卷上已明白記載我的事. it is written about me in the scroll.
8 我的神啊! 我樂意遵行你的旨意, I desire to do your will, O my God;
因你的律法常在我心." your law is within my heart."
9 我在大會中傳揚公義, I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly;
絕不會閉起我的嘴唇; I do not seal my lips;
耶和華啊! 這是你知道的. as you know, O Lord.
10 我不會把你的公義藏在心裏, I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
反而會述說你的信實和救恩; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
在大會中, I do not conceal your love and your truth
也毫不隱瞞你的慈愛和信實. from the great assembly.
11 耶和華啊! 求你不吝賜我憐憫, Do not withhold your mercy from me, O Lord;
願你的慈愛信實常常保佑我. may your love and your truth always protect me.
12 因有無數的災禍圍困我, For troubles without number surround me.
我的罪孽壓得我不能見; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
我的罪孽多過我的頭髮, They are more than the hairs of my head,
因而使得我心驚又膽戰. and my heart fails within me.
13 耶和華啊! 求你開恩拯救我, Be pleased, O Lord, to save me;
耶和華啊! 求你快來幫助我, O Lord, come quickly to help me.
14 願那些追索我命的, 抱愧蒙羞; May all who seek to take my life be put to shame and confusion;
那些樂見我毀滅的, 後退受辱. may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
15 願那些對我說: "阿哈! 阿哈!" 的, May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"
個個都羞愧又驚惶. be appalled at their own shame.
16 但願所有尋求你的, But may all who seek you
都因為你歡喜快樂; rejoice and be glad in you;
喜愛你救恩的都說: may those who love your salvation always say,
"當尊崇耶和華為大!" "The Lord be exalted!"
17 我困苦貧窮求主顧念; Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me.
求你幫助我並拯救我, You are my help and my deliverer;
我的神啊! 求你不要拖延. O my God, do not delay.
41. 祈求康復
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 那關懷貧弱的人有福了! Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
他遭難時耶和華拯救他. the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.
2 祂必庇護保全他的性命; The Lord will protect him and preserve his life;
並使他在地上蒙恩享福, he will bless him in the land
也不把他交出遂敵所願. and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.
3 耶和華在病床上扶持他, The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed
讓他在病榻上恢復健康. and restore him from his bed of illness.
4 我說: "耶和華啊! I said, O Lord, have mercy on me;
求你憐恤醫治我, heal me, for I have sinned against you."
因我犯罪得罪你." My enemies say of me in malice,
5 我的仇敵惡毒攻擊我說: "When will he die
"他何時會死名聲消失呢?" and his name perish?"
這些人心存奸詐來看我, Whenever one comes to see me, he speaks falsely,
6 口裏說的盡是虛假謊話, while his heart gathers slander;
出去立即四面散播中傷. then he goes out and spreads it abroad.
7 所有我仇敵都耳語攻擊我; All my enemies whisper together against me;
他們心想我己陷絕境, 都說: they imagine the worst for me, saying,
8 "他怪病纏身, 臥病在床, "A vile disease has beset him;
再也起不來了!" he will never get up from the place where he lies!'
9 連與我共席進膳信賴摯友, Even my close friend, whom I trusted,
也舉起腳踢我! he who share my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
10 然而, 耶和華啊! 求你憐憫我, But you, O Lord, have mercy on me;
把我扶起來去報復他們. raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 我深知你是很喜愛我的, I know that you are pleased with me,
因你不容我仇敵勝過我. for my enemy does not trimph over me.
12 你因我人品正直扶持我, In my integrity you uphold me
使我永遠堅立在你面前. and set me in your presence forever.
13 當讚美耶和華以色列的神! Praise be to the Lord, the God of Isreal,
從亙古直到永遠, from everlasting to everlasting,
