第11-20篇
11. 正直依靠
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 我已向耶和華投靠, In the Lord I take refuge.
你們為何還對我說: How then can you say to me,
"你要像鳥飛逃山中, "Flee like a bird to your mountain.
2 看哪! 惡人的弓已拉開, For look, the wicked bend their bows;
他們的箭己經上弦, they set their arrows against the strings
要暗射正直人的心. to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
3 當根基正被人毀壞, When the foundations are being destroyed,
義人還能做甚麼呢?" what can the righteous do?"
4 耶和華在祂的聖殿中, The Lord is in his holy temple;
祂坐在祂的天上寶座. the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
祂仔細察看世人 . He observes the sons of men;
用慧眼檢驗他們. his eyes examines them.
5 耶和華試鍊義人, The Lord examines the righteous,
祂的心憎恨惡人和暴徒. But the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.
6 祂必降炭火和硫火 On the wicked he will rain
傾倒在惡人的身上, fiery coals and burning sulfur;
熾熱焚風燒滅他們. a scourching wind will be their lot.
7 因耶和華公平愛正義, For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice;
正直的人必得見祂面. upright men will see his face.
12. 遠離邪惡
大衛的詩, 交詩班長, 調用 "詩明尼"
1 耶和華啊, 求你救我! Help, Lord,
因敬虔的人絕跡了, for the godly are no more;
信實的人在世人中消失 the faithful have vanished from among men.
2 人人都向他的鄰舍說謊, Everyone lies to his neighbor;
用諂媚嘴說口是心非話. their flattering lips speak with deception.
3 懇求耶和華剪除所有 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips
諂媚的唇和誇大的舌. and every boastful tongue
4 舌頭說: "我們必能以舌取勝, that says, "We will triumph with our tongues;
唇是我們的, 誰能作我們的主呢?" we own our lips - who is our master?"
5 耶和華說: "因弱小受欺凌, "Because of the oppression of the weak
貧困在呻吟; and the groaning of the needy,
我定要起來, I will now arise," says the Lord,
保護他們免受欺凌." "I will protect them from those who malign them."
6 耶和華的言語純淨, And the words of the Lord are flawless,
好像銀子在泥爐中精鍊過七次. like silver refined in a furnance of clay, purified seven times.
7 耶和華啊, 你必保我們平安, O Lord, you will keep us safe
保護我們永遠遠離那些人. and protect us from such people forever.
8 邪惡在世人中高舉, The wicked freely strut about
惡人就會四處橫行. when what is vile is honored among men.
13. 憂苦祈求
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 耶和華啊! 你忘記我要到幾時呢? How long, O Lord,
難道要到永遠嗎? Will you forget me forever?
你掩面不顧我又要到幾時呢? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 我心裏在掙扎, 終日內心愁苦, How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
還要到幾時呢? and every day have sorrow in my heart?
我的仇敵勝過我更要到幾時呢? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 耶和華我的神啊! Look on me and answer,
求你看顧回應我; O Lord my God.
使我的眼目明亮, Give light to my eyes,
免得我沉睡至死. or I will sleep in death;
4 我的仇敵會說: "我打敗他了!" my enemy will say, "I have overcome him,"
他們會因我倒下歡呼快樂. and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 但我信靠你不變的慈愛, But I trust in your unfailing love;
我的心因你的救恩喜樂. my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 我要向耶和華歌唱, I will sing to the Lord,
因祂一向厚恩待我. for he has been good to me.
14. 遠離愚頑
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 愚人心裏說: "沒有神." The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
他們都邪惡敗壞, 行為卑鄙, They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
沒有一個行善的. there is no one who does good.
2 耶和華從天上垂察世人, The Lord looks down from heaven on the sins of men
看有沒有明理的, to see if there are any who understand,
有沒有尋求神的. any who seek God.
3 他們全偏離正道, All have turned aside,
都變得邪惡敗壞; they have together become corrupt;
沒有行善的, 連一個也沒有. There are no one who does good, not even one.
4 那些吞吃我的百姓像吃飯一樣, Will evilerdoers ever learn -
和從不求告耶和華的邪惡之徒, those who devour my people as men eat bread
難道他們都得不到一點教訓嗎? and who do not call on me?
5 其實他們都滿懷恐懼, There they are, overwhelmed with dread,
因神與義人站在一起. for God is present in the company of the righteous.
6 惡人在干擾窮人的生計, The evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
耶和華卻是窮人避難所 . but the Lord is their refuge.
7 神啊, 願以色列的救恩從錫安而出; Oh, that salvation for Isreal would come out of Zion!
當耶和華復興祂子民福祉時, When the Lord restores the fortunes of his people,
雅各要歡喜, 以色列要快樂! let Jacob rejoice and Isreal be glad!
15. 屬神的人
大衛的詩
1 耶和華啊! 誰能居住你的聖所? Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
誰能住在你的聖山? Who may live on your holy hill?
2-3 唯有行為正直, 作事公義, He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous,
心說實話, 舌不傷人, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue,
善待鄰里, 與人為善的人才配. who does his neighbor no wrong and cast no slur on his fellowman.
4-5 他藐視厭恨邪惡的人, who despises a vile man
尊重敬畏耶和華的人; but honors those who fear the Lord,
他守誓言吃虧也不悔. who keeps his oath even when it hurts.
他不昧良心放高利貸, who lends his money without usury
也不受賄賂傷害無辜. and does not accept a bride against the innocent.
這樣行事者 He who does these things
永不動搖. will never be shaken.
16. 福樂之源
大衛的金詩
1 神啊! 求你佑我平安, Keep me safe, O God,
因為我投靠你. for in you I take refuge.
我對耶和華說, "你是我的主, I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord,
離開你我一無是處." apart from you I have no good thing."
3 至於世上聖民, 尊貴榮美, As for the saints who are in the land,
我全都喜愛. they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
4 凡追求別神的愁苦必增. The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods.
我不澆奠他們獻祭的血; I will not pour out their libations of blood
我的嘴唇不提別神的名. or take up their names on my lips.
5 耶和華恩賜我美地福杯, Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup;
還要去保守我所得的份. you have made my lot secure.
6 境界之內盡是佳美之地, The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
你賜我的地業實在美好. surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 我要讚美那指引我的耶和華, I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
即使夜間我的心也在教導我. even at night my heart instructs me.
8 我要常把耶和華擺在我面前, I have set the Lord always before me.
因祂在我的右邊我必不動搖. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 因此, 我的心歡喜, 我的靈快樂, Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
我的肉身也必安然居住. my body also will rest secure,
10 因你不把我靈撇在陰間, because you will not abandon me to the grave,
也不讓你的聖者見朽壞. nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
11 你己將生命之路指示我; You have made known to me the path of life;
使我在你面前滿有喜樂, you will fill me with joy in your presence,
並在你的右邊永享福樂. with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
17. 神佑無辜
大衛的祈禱
1 耶和華啊! 求你垂聽我公義的懇求, Hear, O Lord, my righteous plea;
傾聽我懇切的呼求; listen to my cry.
側耳聽那不是出於 Give ear to my prayer -
我詭詐舌頭的禱告. it does not rise from my deceitful lips.
2 願我的辯詞從你而出, May my vindication come from you;
願你的眼目察看公正. may your eyes see what is right.
3 你雖測試過我的心, 並在夜間檢驗過我, Though you probe my heart and examine me at night,
雖熬鍊過我還是找不出甚麼; though you test me, you will find nothing;
因我己決心不讓我的口犯罪. I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.
4 至於世上人的行為, As for the deeds of men -
我藉你嘴唇說的話, by the word of your lips
遠離暴徒走的道路. I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.
5 我的腳步穩踏你路, My steps have held to your paths;
我的雙腳沒有滑倒. my feet have not slipped.
6 神啊! 我向你呼求因你必回應, I call on you, O God, for you will answer me;
求你側耳垂聽我的禱告. give ear to me and hear my prayer.
7 求你彰顯你奇妙的大愛, Show the wonder of your great love,
用右手拯救投靠你的人, you who save by your right hand
使他們免受仇敵的攻擊. those who take refuge in you from their foes.
8 求你保護我, 像保護你眼中的瞳人 ; Keep me as the apple of your eye;
把我隱藏在你翅膀蔭下, hide me in the shadow of your wings
9 使我脫離攻擊我的惡人, from the wicked who assail me;
以及四面圍困我的死敵. from my mortal enemies who surround me.
10 他們緊閉冷酷無情的心, They close up their callous hearts,
口裏說盡驕傲狂妄的話. and their mouths speak with arrogance.
11 他們追蹤我現在圍困我; They have tracked me down, they now surround me,
緊盯著我為要把我摔倒. with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
12 他們像餓極獵食的獅子, They are like a lion hungry for prey,
又像蹲伏隱密處的猛獅. like a great lion crouching in cover.
13 耶和華啊, 求你起來, Rise up, O Lord!
迎擊來敵, 打倒他們! confront them, bring them down;
用你的寶劍救我脫離惡人. rescue me from the wicked by your sword.
14 耶和華啊! O Lord!
求用你手救我脫離那惡人 , by your hand save me from such men,
以及只在今生有賞賜的人. from men of this world whose reward is in this life.
你仍是你珍愛的人渴望的神, You still the hunger of those you cherish;
他們的兒女豐衣足食, their sons have plenty,
他們為子孫積聚財富. and they store up wealth for their children.
15 至於我, 必能在義中見你的面, And I - in righteousness I will see your face;
當我醒來的時候, when I awake,
能見到你的尊容, 就心滿意足了 . I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.
18. 頌神拯救
耶和華僕人大衛的詩, 交詩班長,
當耶和華拯救他脫離所有仇敵和掃羅之手的日子,
他向耶和華唱出這首詩歌
1 耶和華我的力量啊, 我愛你! I love you, O Lord, my strength.
2 耶和華是我的磬石, The Lord is my rock,
我的堡壘, 我的救主; my fortress and my deliverer;
我的神是我投靠的磬石, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
祂是我的盾牌, 是我救恩的角, He is my shield and the horn of my salvation,
也是我堅固的陣地. my stronghold.
3 我向應受讚美的耶和華呼求, I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
祂定必拯救我脫離我的仇敵. and I am saved from my enemies.
4 死亡的繩索纏困我, The cords of death entangled me;
毀滅的洪流淹沒我. the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
5 陰間的繩索纏繞我, The cords of the grave coiled around me;
死亡的網羅撒向我. the snares of death confronted me.
6 我在危難中呼求耶和華 , In my distress I called to the Lord;
並且急切向我的主求助, . I cried to my Lord for help.
祂從殿中聽到我的聲音, From his temple he heard my voice;
我的呼求達祂面入衪耳. my cry came before him, into his ears.
7 那時大地搖撼震動, The earth trembled and quaked,
群山根基隨之動搖, and the foundations of the mountains shook;
地山因祂發怒戰慄. they trembled because he was angry.
8 濃煙從祂的鼻孔上冒; Smoke rose from his nostrils;
烈火從祂的口中噴出, consuming fire came from his mouth,
噴出的全是熾熱炭火. burning coals blazed out of it.
9 祂離開天庭親自降臨, He parted the heavens and came down;
烏雲盤旋在祂的腳下. dark clouds were under his feet.
10 祂騎上基路伯飛行, He mounted the cherubim and flew;
藉著風的翅膀疾飛. he soared on the wings of the wind.
11 祂以黑暗作為掩護, He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him -
天空黑雨雲作華蓋. the dark rain clouds of the sky.
12 密雲帶著冰雹和閃電, Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,
從祂光輝的面前掠過. with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
13 耶和華在高天上打雷, The Lord thundered from heaven;
至高者立即發出回響. the voice of the Most high resounded .
14 祂射的箭使仇敵四散, He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies,
頻發閃電使他們潰敗, great bolts of lightning and routed them.
15 耶和華啊, The valley of the sea were exposed
你鼻孔斥責的氣一出, and the foundation of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord,
海谷隆起地基也裸露. at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
16 祂從高天伸手抓住我, He reach down from on high and took hold of me;
把我從深水中拉上來. he drew me out of deep waters.
17 祂救我脫離我的勁敵, He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
和難以對付強大仇家. from my foes, who were too strong for me.
18 在我遭難日子他們攻擊我, They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
幸得耶和華盡力在扶持我 . but the Lord was my support.
19 並領我到寬闊之地, He bought me out into a spacious place;
祂搭救我因喜悅我 . he rescued me because he delighted in me.
20 耶和華按我的公義待我, The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
依我雙手的潔淨賞賜我. according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.
21 因我謹守耶和華的道, For I have kept the ways of the Lord;
從未作惡離開我的神. I have not done evil by turning from my God.
22 祂所有典章擺我面前, All his laws are before me;
我從未離棄祂的律例. I have not turned away from his decrees.
23 我在祂面前完美無缺, I have been blameless before him
也謹守自己遠離罪惡. and have kept myself from sin.
24 因此耶和華按照我行的公義 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
和在祂眼前手的潔淨賞賜我. according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
25 對信實的人, 你彰顯你的信實; To the faithful you show yourself faithful.
對完美的人, 你彰顯你的完美. to the blameless you show yourself blameless.
26 對純潔的人, 你彰顯你的純潔; to the pure you show yourself pure.
對狡詐的人, 你彰顯你的靈巧. but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.
27 謙卑溫文的人, 你必拯救; You save the humble
眼目高傲的人, 你必貶低. but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
28 耶和華啊! 你使我的燈長明, You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning;
我的神使我的黑暗轉為光明. my God turns my darkness into light.
29 藉你的助力, 我能進攻敵軍 ; With your help I can advance against troop;
藉著我的神, 我能攀越城牆. with my God I can scale a wall.
30 至於神, 祂的道完全; As for God, his way is perfect;
祂的話純淨; the word of the Lord is fawless.
祂是投靠祂的人的盾牌. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
31 除耶和華以外誰是神呢? For who is God besides the Lord?
除我們的神誰是磬石呢? And who is the Rock except our God?
32 神以祂大能裝備我, It is God who arms me with strength
使我行為完美正直. and makes my way perfect.
33 衪使我的腳像鹿蹄, He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
能夠在高峭處站穩. he enables me to stand on the heights.
34 祂教導我的手作戰, He trains my hands for battle;
使我的臂能拉銅弓. my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 你賜我得勝的盾牌, You give me your shield of victory,
你的右手在扶持我. and your right hand sustains me;
彎下腰身使我壯大. you stoop down to make me great.
36 使我腳下道路寬闊, You broaden the path beneath me,
讓我的雙腳能站穩. so that my ankles do not turn.
37 我追趕仇敵, 定要追上, I pursued my enemies and overtook them;
不消滅他們, 誓不班師. I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
38 我要粉碎他們永不再起, I crushed them so that they could not rise;
讓他們都倒在我的腳下. they fell beneath my feet.
39 你以大能裝備我, 使我能征慣戰, You armed me with strength for battle;
並且使我的敵人, 屈服在我腳下. you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
40 你使我的敵人陣前敗逃, you made my enemies turn their backs in flight,
讓我得以殲滅我的仇敵. and I destroyed my foes.
41 他們在高聲呼喊, 卻無人拯救; They cried for help, but there was no one to save them -
即使呼求耶和華, 也掩耳不聞. to the Lord, but he did not answer.
42 我搗碎他們, 像風前塵土; I beat them as fine as dust borne on the wind;
更傾倒他們, 像街上爛泥. I poured them out like mud in the streets.
43 你解救我擺脫人民攻擊, You have delivered me from the attacks of the people;
並且立我作列國的元首, you have made me the head of the nations;
讓不相識的人都臣服我. people I did not know are subject to me.
44 他們一聽我名就都順服, As soon as they hear me, they obey me;
外邦人也懾服在我面前. foreigners crings before me.
45 他們全都喪失鬥志, They all lose heart;
戰慄惶恐走出營寨. they come trembling from their strongholds.
46 耶和華永活的神啊! The Lord lives!
我要讚美我的磬石! Praise be to my Rock!
並尊崇我的救主神! Exalted be God my Savior!
47 祂是為我伸冤的神, He is the God who avenge me,
使萬國臣服我腳下, who subdues nations under me,
48 祂又救我脫離仇敵; who saves me from my enemies.
把我高舉仇敵之上, You exalted me above my foes;
並且救我脫離暴徒. from violent men you rescued me.
49 因此, 耶和華啊! Therefore I will praise you among the nations, O Lord;
我要在列國中讚美你, 歌頌你的名. I will sing praise to your name.
50 耶和華賜偉大勝利給祂立的王, He gives his king great victories;
施慈愛給祂的受膏者, he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed,
即給大衛和他的後裔, 直到永遠! to David and his descendants forever.
19. 頌神創造
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 諸天述說神的榮耀, The heavens declare the glory of God;
穹蒼傳揚祂的作為. the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 日日發出言語, Day after day they pour forth speech;
夜夜傳出知識. night after night they display knowledge.
3 無言無語, There is no speech or language
無聲無息. where their voice is not heard.
4 聲音傳遍全地, Their voice goes out into all the earth,
言語達到地極. their words to the ends of the world.
神在天為太陽搭帳幕, In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,
5 太陽如同新郎出洞房, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from the pavilion,
又如勇士欣然奔前路. like a champion rejocing to run his course.
6 從天這邊出來, It rises at one end of the heavens
繞到天的那邊; and makes its circuit to the other;
無物可避其熱. nothing is hidden from its heat.
7 耶和華的律法完美, The law of the Lord is perfect,
能甦醒人心. reviving the soul.
耶和華的法度可靠, The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
能使愚人得智. making wise the simple.
8 耶和華的訓詞正直, The precepts of the Lord are right,
能快活人心. giving joy to the heart.
耶和華的誡命光照, The commands of the Lord are radiant,
能明人眼目. giving light to the eyes.
9 耶和華的道理純淨, the fear of the Lord is pure,
存到永遠. enduring forever.
耶和華的典章正確, The ordinance of the Lord are sure
全然公義. and altogether righteous.
10 都比金子寶貴, 比純淨精金更寶貴; They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
比蜜蜂蜜甘甜, 比蜂房滴蜜更甘甜. they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
11 你的僕人因此得到警惕, By them is your servant warned;
謹守律法典章便有大賞. in keeping them there is great reward.
12 有誰能知道自己的過失呢? Who can discern his errors?
求你赦免我隱而未現過錯. Forgive my hidden fault.
13 也求你勿讓你僕人, Keep your servant
去犯任意妄為的罪; also from willful sins;
不要讓這罪轄制我, may they not rule over me,
才能完美不犯大罪. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
14 耶和華我的磬石, 我的救贖主啊! May the word of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
願我口裏言語和心中意念, be pleasing in your sight,
在你的面前全都蒙你悅納. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemmer.
20. 使王得勝
大衛的詩, 交詩班長
1 願耶和華在你遭難日子回應你, May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
願雅各神的名保佑你. may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 願祂從聖所救助你, May he send you help from the sanctuary
從錫安扶持你. and grant you support from Zion.
3 願祂記得你的獻祭, May he remember all our sacrifices
並且悅納你的燔祭. 細拉 and accept your burnt. offerings.
4 願祂依你所願賞賜你, May he give you the desire of your heart
使你所有的計劃成功. and make all your plans succeed.
5 我們要因你的得勝歡呼, We will shout for joy when you are victorious
奉我們神的名高舉旌旗. and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
願耶和華成就你一切所求. May the Lord grant all your requests.
6 我現知道耶和華拯救祂的受膏者, Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
祂從祂的聖天上回應他, he answers him from his holy heavens
並用右手的大能拯救他. with the saving power of his right hand.
7 有人靠車也有人靠馬, Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
但我們卻靠耶和華我們神的名. but we trust the name of the Lord our God.
8 他們都屈身仆倒, They are brought to their knees and fall,
我們卻奮起挺立. but we rise up and stand firm.
9 耶和華啊, 求你拯救君王! O Lord, save the king!
我們呼求, 求你回應我們! Answer us when we call!
